Ito Aoki And Tanaka Kai...The last Year

Chapter 1

I never knew the last year of highschool was ever going to come..but I guess it did. Time does goes by fast huh? I guess we all have to grow up some day...

I hear the ringing of the clock going *RING RING* I forced myself to get out of bed not wanting to continue with school anymore..I want this school year to just end already. I go ahead and lift myself up, I go into the bathroom and brush my teeth..at least this toothpaste tastes good..I finish brushing my teeth and head into my bedroom once again. Since I got to a private school I pretty much have to wear a uniform. I mean it's not that bad but like, it's tiring sometimes..all it is, is a white collar shirt, a blue, black or red cardigan and some root wide slacks pants. It's pretty comfy not going to lie. And to finish it off is just a tie..maybe one that matches the color of your cardigan.

I finished dressing and head downstairs where my mom was making fresh toasts.."Good morning mom!" I say to her once I set foot on the kitchen floor.
She seem pretty happy even though it's 6:30 in the morning. She a very happy person you can say. "Good morning hun! Come here! I made you some toast! Make sure you eat before you head off..and oh! And here's your lunch!" She cheerfully says. I thank my mom and sit on the chair she pulled out for me. *munch munch* the toast is so good! I kinda want more but I have to get going or else I'm going to be late. I tell my mom goodbye and head off to school.

As I was walking peacefully down the road I was pulled back from my backpack. Terrified I turned back and turns out it was just my best friend..'that brat' always scaring me wherever I go. "Hey! Didn't I told you to stop doing that, I'm sure gonna punch you in the face next time!" I say annoyed. He slowly backs away from me laughing. "Haha geez sorry! I won't do it again haha!" He says still laughing. "Hey! Cmon don't put that face! I'm serious...maybe!" I chase after him, geez this guy sure can sometimes be annoying.

We met in the 3rd grade in elementary. He basically helped me with bullies during that time. I was the "new" kid with no friends at the beginning. But he was the first real friend I had. And I guess we grew close with each other. I'm very grateful for him. His name is Yukimura Akito. Honestly he is a very cheerful person, always to cheer others up..even though if it counts as scaring them. I'll Honestly do anything to make sure he keeps smilling.

I didn't noticed we were running the whole time and we got to school with some time left. We stop to catch our breath. *huff* I sit down next to the chair close to me. "Dude I heard there's is gonna be a new student, and apparently he's going to be in our class!" Says Akito sitting down next to me. "A he?" I questioned. "Yeah dude, I mean we do have lots of girls in our class so it makes sense were having a new guy joining us." He says looking around the campus. The bell soon rings and we head off to class.

We head up to class and we are just hearing more of this new guy. Girls imagining as someone hot or whatever. Guys just either not caring or hoping for a new friend. We get into the classroom and still, talking about the new kid. Anyways, me and Akito sat on our seats. He sits on the opposite side of the room but he liies to sit besides me to talk before class starts. Soon the final bell rings and everyone got to they're seats.

"I'm sure some of you guys heard a new student will be joining us from now on!" Our sensei says happily. "You can come in now!" She continues looking where the door is open wide. Almost everyone faces the door curious who would come in. A shoe steps in and soon the whole figure came to view. Akito was right it is a guy. He looks pretty tall, he has a dark shade of purple hair. His hair is pretty wavy and he has gray purple eyes. He looks pretty chill.

I can hear the girls talking about the new guy, but honestly I wouldn't care less. "C'mon introduce yourself to the class!" Says our sensei facing the new guy. The guy stand straight his eyes scanning the room. He opens his mouth to speak. "Hello everyone, my name is Tanaka Kai. I hope we can get along well." He says in on seriousness. "Well Tanaka you can sit on the back in the empty seat. Next to Ito Aoki. Ito Aoki raise your hand please?" Our sensei said. As asked I raise my hand. And soon he walks towards the back row finding his seat next to me. Akito turns his head to face me. He mouths the words 'ooh, new guy is sitting next to you, you won't replace me right?" I roll my eyes of the statement he said but of course I'm never replacing him. Like I said before, I'll do anything to have him keep that smile up. Either way I'll probably won't even talk to him..

As I thought, not a single word to the new guy. The class ends and I go out with Akito. We head to the rooftop because that is the place we always ate our lunch. While we were walking up the stairs, there are some talking and squeeing from girls. Me and Akito went to go check it out..what we saw wasn't really surprising. It was some girls swarmming around..yep you guess it, the new guy. It's his first day and he is already popular with the girls. He seems confused though, and soon we make eye contact. Not knowing what to do, nervously I look away and pull Akito and head upstairs to the rooftop.

I can never focus right when someone makes eye contact with me. It makes me feel nervous all of a sudden so when it happens, I just don't know what to do. Anyways, we gotten to the rooftop and we sit down on the place we usually sit. "Hey what did your mom pack ya?" Says Akito reaching over too see my lunch. I take my lunch away just to tease him. "Nope you can't see it's a secret this time!" I say reaching my lunch box high. "Hey! I wanna know! I wanna see if we can tradee!!" Says Akito trying to reach for my box. Still wanting to tease him and move my lunch box is different places. Akito puts on a pouty face and I start laughing. Sometime seeing him struggle seems funny to me. It's like pay back from this morning. After some minutes of playing around I gave him in lunch box back. Akito grabs it but then he looks over to my lunch box. "Still what did your mom pack you today? My mom gave me the same thing she did last friday." Akito says opening his lunch box. I sign and hand him some of my grapes and a half of my sandwich. Akito eyes brightens up when he sees that I placed the sandwich and the grapes in his lunch box. Akito then hands me some parts of his food and we then ate, at last.

This school day pasted by really quickly that Akito and I was heading to the front to walk home. "Hey, just to let ya know I gotta head to the store before heading home. My mom wants to make some soup for dinner! I might take some time so you can go right ahead and head home!" Says Akito. I mean this isn't the first time I walk by myself so I'll be fine. "Alright well see you tomorrow!" I say sending him a goodbye. He then walks away while waving me a goodbye and soon he was no longer in sight..

I still got some time before I have to be home. Maybe I'll buy a drink and sit for some minutes. After I went to buy some juice I started heading to the park. I thought I was going to be the only one there but there was someone else they're. I get a little closer and its the new guy. He's with a black cat and feeding it some food. A get a little closer but not that close so that he won't see me. I actually never payed attention to his feathers. If being honest he looks quite attractive. I sit down in the nearest bench there was and just look at the guy and the cat bonding. After some time thinking I headed over there. I just can't resist cats.."Aw you're a cute little fella aren't ya?" I say bending down next to the guy and petting the cat. The guy turns his head a bit to face me wondering who the hell I was. "Oh sorry for intruding like this, I really like cats! Hey your the new kid in my class right? I'm Ito Aoki!You said your name is Tanaka Kai right?" I said reaching my hard forward so he can shake my hand. "Oh, no its fine. And yeah I'm the new kid. Oh and yeah my name is Tanaka Kai, nice to meet you too." He says shaking my hand as well. Curious I say, "is this your cat? Or was it just wondering around here." I questioned. Tanaka looks down to the cat and shakes his head. "No the cat is not mine. I came here almost 30 minutes ago and I guess we just bonded." He says petting the cat once again. He then let's out a heavy breath and says "but I wish I had one though. I been wanting a cat for some time." Lh that's pretty nice, we have something in common. Maybe I should ask him to hang with Akito and I at lunch. "Hey, so I was wondering. Do you have anyone to talk too and sit with at lunch?" I questioned meeting his eyes. Tanaka let's out a breath and shaking his head again. "No I don't, I'm not really a person who can talk first in a conversation." Yeah I understand him. Since he has nobody might as well ask him. "Well since you mentioned you don't hangout with anyone wanna hang with my friend and I? I mean only if you want to of course!" I say meeting up to his gaze once again. His eyes gives a sparkle like this was a miracle to him and he nods. "Yeah sure." Tanaka says giving me a warm smile. And then I give him one back..

We both have not said a single word since that conversation. I went to check the time on my phone and then I realized..I was running late, mom's gonna be real mad if I don't get there soon. "Well it's been nice but I really gotta go, if not my mom's gonna kill me! See ya tomorrow dude!" I say running off waving him a goodbye..

After a lecture by my mom I went to go do my homework, and now it was finally the hour to go to sleep. I text Akito a goodnight, put on my alarm, get my uniform ready for tomorrow, brush my teeth, and switching out books and notebooks for tomorrow. After I finished doing what I had to do, I lay down on the comfy bed and I soon closed my eyes and fell asleep...
