AFTER ANGELO AND I'S TALK before he left for the appointment, it really got me thinking.

He really was right.

After clearing up my mind, calming down and having some rest I've found it easier for me to think clearly.

Why didn't I think of this earlier?

I'd called a meeting which was to happen in a few minutes and right now I'm just finishing up getting ready in my usual black suit and slightly gelled up hair.

"Sir," I hear a knock at my bedroom door. "What?" I grumble fixing up my tie.

God I really didn't like anyone knocking at my door unless It was Zamira.

Not that she knocks all that much...

"Someone's at the door for you. They said it was urgent?" he sounded unsure of his words.

My eyebrows pinch together but I mutter out a quick respond and grab my stuff before going to check what was so "urgent".

"Oh my God, Antonio," I hear a loud voice before a body is forced on me.

My first instinct is to push and pull them off of me and not only then do I recognize the voice and face when I see them ass planted on my floors.

"Makayla?" I scrunch my eyebrows.

"Nice way to welcome your cousin," she purses her lips.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" I grit helping her up.

Out of all my other annoying as cousins Makayla and her younger brother by 2 years seemed to be my favourite from my mother's side of course.

She was much older than me by around 9 years and had helped me claim and keep the title as Capo when people doubted my actions near the beginning of it.

"Does the 23 missed calls from me not give you enough of a clue that I may be coming?" she scrunches her eyebrows.

"What's up with that anyways, you usually answer your calls straight away..."

I purse my lips and slightly shake my head, a little signal that we'd talk about it later.

"...Ok, Ma dov'è la zia? Ho Bisogno di salutare" she asks.
[But where's Aunt? I need to say Hi]

"Right here cara," my mother pops into the conversation, hugging my cousin.
[Dear]

"Oh caro, sei cresciuto così tanto dall'ultima volta che ti ho visto. Dov'è tuo marito? Come è lui?" my mother begins bombarding her with questions.
[Oh dear you've grown so much since I've last seen you. Where's your husband? How is he?]

Makayla laughs and looks up, her eyes shining with a swirl of emotion which reads out 'help' for me.

I give her a frown shrugging my shoulders and walk away to my meeting.

That's a her problem.

This was it.

Today was the 3rd month and finally the day we were going to save her.

My heart is racing like crazy, and my mind is running countless scenarios of us finding her dead.

But I'm holding onto that little hope that she isn't. That she's safe and that she'll be back in my arms.

That she'll come back home.

"Yo hurry up, we don't have much time," Matteo orders around.

This is the most serious I've ever seen him.

My cousin had helped with most of the plans, she's smart and very helpful and I have to admit I'm kind of upset that she won't be here to see us going in action today since she went off to visit some friends and insisted on not coming since tomorrow was her last day here.

But she said she'd meet up with us tomorrow.

She wanted to meet the woman that made me go this worried, her words.

It turns out they had been moving Zamira around from place to place while she was unconscious to keep her for this long.

Honestly I didn't know what her father wanted from her but it obviously wasn't to talk, or catch- up.

"Hey bozo, we're ready and waiting for you," Angelo pats my shoulder.

I turn to look at my best friend and nod. Wow I've gotten soft.

Don't tell him I said that.

"Ready when you are," Matteo smiles.

"I'm ready".

Here goes nothing...
