What if I told you about a girl who fell in love with a boy? The boy was no ordinary, he was the perfect boy, the boy of her dreams, the prince charming she had always desired.

He arrived on a horse. He had the prettiest smile, flowing blonde hair, as he climbed down from his horse and greeted her by kissing her hand while saying "my lady". It was the perfect love story. He had a shiny sword with his stunning amour, he was a prince. And she fell in love, and the prince smiled and invited her onto his horse. They got on the majestic horse as they rode and had little cute convos. She was about to be his princess, but a soft breeze touches her neck and a bright light shines through her closed eyes while she wakes up, realizing it was all a dream. "The dream was so real it felt like he was really there, that perfect boy, that boy of my dreams, the prince." She thought to herself as she walked down the path to her little cottage, where she was greeted by an incredible breakfast and a meal prepared by her aunt. You see, she lives with her aunt and her uncle and their son, as her parents died in a car accident when she was 8. Now 15, she has abandonment issues. She doesn't feel like she belongs there, as she is not her actual family. Feeling lonely and full of hatred and sadness, she imagines things to help her cope with her loss and loneliness. She hears voices and she sees things from her imagination. She is schizophrenic. The day passed in a flash. Nothing much happened. As usual, she went to school. She has no friends, so she is always lonely. Loneliness fills her soul, so she talks to her imagination. She would sleep early to see the boy, so every day she goes to bed to meet this boy She would go on adventures with her prince, but when she awoke, everything would be gone, and she would be back to her normal, repetitive, lonely life. Going to school coming back and staying in her room talking to her imagination. The aunt and uncle started getting concerned and brought her to the doctors as she started talking in the morning and going on dates with this prince. She is overjoyed that she can now talk to this perfect prince every night and every second. To her eyes, she is talking to her perfect prince, but to us she is talking to herself and she needs mental help. Every night she would talk. Every morning she would talk. In school, she would talk. People feared her. She went on cute dates with him every night and morning, sometimes even skipping school for this perfect prince. It was so real. After 8 months, her aunt and uncle decided to send her to a mental facility as they feared her and their son were getting affected. They examined her, checked her, and asked her a lot of questions. She was placed in a facility for mentally ill people. They fed her medications that would make her prince disappear, and when he disappeared, she would cry and scream, and she would be locked in a room and fed more medication. She is trapped. The only thing she wants to do is love this guy, her dream guy, the perfect prince. But in their eyes, she is mentally ill and needs to be treated. Her loneliness slowly started killing her. She was finally happy, but this happiness was taken away by a single pill. She just wanted to hear from her prince, the person that made her happiest. But they kept taking him away. She thought the only way to see him again was to die and live with him forever. She sneaks out to the roof in the middle of the night, filled with loneliness, sadness, and hatred. She stands on the edge of the roof, looking down at the lights from above. She hears a voice saying, "Jump, jump. You will finally find me." The voice of her prince She is ready to do anything for love, even death. She has lost everything in her life; now it's time to lose herself. She sees the prince on the bottom floor, with his hands out ready to catch her, as the medication starts to wear off. The nurse goes into her room to give her another pill. The nurse sets the alarm off, realizing she is gone. They rushed to the roof, but it was too late. As the girl felt the breeze on her face, as she takes the leap and jumps, feeling the cold air rushing the opposite side of her as she slowly falls to her death, that's what we see. She is falling to her death. What she sees is completely different. She sees herself with her prince and the perfect guy that this world could not give her and tried to take away from her. The prince held her hand, saying "my lady". We would never know if she is with her prince. We see her as dead. But she sees herself with the prince for the rest of her life. She is indeed a princess. She is chasing her dreams and finally being in her dream. And that's the story of the Lucid Girl, or shall I say, Princess Lucid.
