chapter 4 - camille

present day

the dance was over, camille had stared at me atleast 3 times as naira walked over to me, she looked jealous, i mean why wouldn't she be. "naira.. what are you doing here? it's been 10 years, i'm over you." i glared at her. "what happened to you anyway? you just disappeared and broke my heart." i said "niklaus my love, i had important business, i'm sorry but it didn't involve you, you weren't allowed to come. witch business of course with my dad." she replied "well a goodbye would've been nice? after all that we shared together i thought you would've atleast said bye naira." i glared at her and she walked off, i walked over to camille and we continued to dance together as my favourite song came on.

"what was all that about klaus, who is that?" cami looked into my eyes. "all in good time love, i'll explain later, right now let's enjoy this moment hm?" i replied and we danced for a while, and then we decided to go back to camille's apartment. i sat down on her couch and looked at her as she sat down next to me, she didn't say anything. "hey you aren't mad, are you?" i asked.
"no klaus i'm not, but that girl is beautiful compared to me and she was looking at you like.. you two seemed like you had chemistry" she replied "well, 10 years ago we dated, i guess. she came to my house one day and then we kissed and we dated for a bit. she took off without saying goodbye or anything, she broke my heart cami. and yes naira is beautiful i don't disagree, but, you are beautiful in your own way, you shouldn't compare yourself, i certainly wouldn't." i reply, a tear rolling down my cheek

cami held my face and wiped the tear off my cheek. "klaus, i'm sorry. i shouldn't have been so stupid and got jealous i didn't know any of this" she looked at me and put her arms around my neck, hugging me. surprisingly she didn't let go until i slowly pulled away and planted a kiss on her cheek, "camille, don't be sorry love, it's not your fault at all and to be honest i needed to get it off my chest, and it's okay, you're  allowed to be jealous" i look at her "i'm staying here until you fall asleep, i could do with the company" i smile at her and she smiles back "thank you klaus, i'm going to get undressed now, wait here." she replied, smiling. she walked off into her room and got undressed, i tried to look over without making it obvious and she had her back facing to me, all i could see was her underwear and bra, i turned around. i didn't want to look, well i wanted too but i wanted to be respectful too.

she walked back into the living room and sat down next to me, she had a pink tank top on and some white shorts, gosh she looked so cute and i just wanted to say that to her but i didn't, not yet anyway. "are you tired yet? i can leave if you'd pref-"
"no klaus i want you to stay, please" she interrupted, i smiled at her and i blushed a little. i tried not to make it obvious but she'd probably end up noticing anyway "hey klaus, there's something on your cheek" she looks closer "oh hang on you're just blushing" she smirked. oh my god i'd never seen her smirk before but that, that made me feral. i looked down at the floor, trying to avoid eye contact, and then she held my chin and tilted my head up and toward her "klaus, don't do that, just because you're blushing that doesn't mean i find you any less attractive" i was speechless as to what she had just said, she found me attractive? i mean i thought she did but i wasn't sure of it. she is perfect, so perfect.

camille got up and walked into her bedroom, "klaus i'm tired!" she shouted and i got up and walked into her room, and sat down on the end of her bed as she got in bed and looked at me. "hey come over here" she said. i got up and sat next to her, letting her rest her head on my lap, playing with her hair until she fell asleep, i slowly lifted her head up and got up, kissing her on the head. i left her apartment and shut the door and i vamp speed home. "niklaus, finally you've been gone all night" said elijah. "oh i'm sorry i was with camille, just making sure she stays safe" i smiled and elijah gave me a slight smirk "what! don't look at me like that, nothing happened" i rolled my eyes and saw hayley "oh hi, i didn't know you were staying the night." i said "yep, i'm staying with elijah" she replied "don't do anything i wouldn't do, i don't want you keeping me up all night" i smirked and vamp sped off to my room. i got into my bed and slowly fell asleep.
