( Saera's Pov )

It's been a week since the outburst with the Small Council. The children were with the dragon keepers in the Dragon Pit.

But I was with Daemon in our room, the handmaidens he brought a pitcher of wine since we had run out a while ago.

" We have always been doubted," I said to Daemon, pouring myself a glass.

" They have, but your father's always loves you."

I drank a little from my glass, and after a couple of minutes, I felt weird and not a good weird. It's a very bad weird.

" What? What is it?" Daemon asked.

" I don't know," I said, sitting down.

" Do I need to get the Maesters?" Daemon asked, kneeling in front of me.

" Yes." I answered, and Daemon ran out of the room.

I ran as fast as I could. My wife was hurt. There were obviously no physical injuries. She could have been poisoned. She was worried that Alicent was going to try something.

" Princess Saera is in need of your help," I said, making it to the maesters' quarters.

They followed me to our bedroom when we saw Saera sitting in a chair facing them. She had gotten so much paler than before, but she was still away.

" Saera, they're here," I said, putting my hand on her cheek.

" Thank you," Saera said, smiling at me.

" Anything for my wife," I said back.

I backed up, and the maesters looked at her.

" What did she drink?"

" The wine," I answered.

They looked at the wine, smelling it.

" I think it's poisoned," Saera said.

" You would be right your grace."

" So, how long until she makes a full recovery?" I asked.

" I couple of weeks. How much did you drink your grace?"

" Only a small sip," Saera answered.

" That's good, my grace."

" Can you have someone send it for my father, please?" Saera asked.

" Yes, your grace."

" I can't believe she did it."

" I can't either," I said.

" Well, we'll leave for Dragonstone after I talk to my father," Saera said.

" Ok," I said, grabbing Saera's hand in mine.

A couple of minutes later, Viserys walked in.

" Who did this?" Viserys asked.

" Your wife," Saera answered.

" Now why would she do that?" Viserys asked, laughing at my answer.

" Because she despises me," Saera answered.

" Why?" Viserys asked.

" Because she used to be my friend, then she married you. She is the same age as Rhaenyra and I, and you married her."

I watched my wife carefully, and she was upset. Not at her father, but at the woman she called a friend.

" She betrayed me. Just like you have betrayed me."

" I have not betrayed you."

" Oh really, then why did you marry her then. Was it because of Otto?"

Oh, that little snake.

" Yes, in a way."

" Leave now," Saera said.

" Saera-."

" I said leave!"

Viserys left the room.

" We're leaving for Dragonstone. Get the children and their dragons."

" Are you going to be ok on your own?" I asked Saera.

" Yeah, I'll be ok."

" Ok, I'll get the kids and their dragons."

I left my wife with Clair, hopping they would get some packing done.

☆ Saera's Pov ☆

" Clair, will you help me pack, please?"

" Yes, Saera, I will."

I got started packing as Daemon went to get the children and their dragons. I didn't want Daemon to worry.

" Pack dresses that are light, Clair."

" Yes, Saera," Clair said.

About 30 minutes later, we walked to our dragons, Clair, and the children, along with their dragons, were on a ship due to the children's dragons being much smaller than Daemon and I's dragons

Our dragons arrived at Dragonstone about two hours later.

They landed, and Daemon helped me down.

" Are you alright, love?" Daemon asked me.

" Yes, I'm fine," I answered.

It was a medium sized walk up to the castle.

" Princess Vaenna, I'm glad to see that you are in good health."

" I was poisoned a little bit ago, Maester Pyran."

" Do you need to be looked over?"

" She's already been looked over," Daemon said.

" Yes, sir."

I walked to our new bedroom and sat down, planning for my attack on the queen.

" I know that look."

" What look?" I asked.

" When you're contemplating murder."

" I'm not going to murder the queen."

" Are you sure?"

" Yes."

" The rest of our family should get here soon. Get some rest," Daemon said, cupping my elbow.

" I will, my prince."

" I will wake you when our children get here. Then we will all sleep together."

" I like the sound of that."

I got into bed and fell asleep, and a few hours later, Vaenna woke up to the bed dipping drastically. Her family was home.

Finally.

Now the war will begin.
