"I really can't believe his subconscious came up with such a dream state," Gwen says as she picks at her food.

Katie looks up from her burger, "I knew he was creative, but gosh, that's something else."

Nate slides his tray next to Gwen's, taking a seat between her and Katie. He begins to eat as the two continue their conversation.

"And then the fact that he said we shouldn't press charges on the driver, that's just so nice," Gwen adds.

"Are you two actually getting to know them better?" Katie inquires.

Nate perks up quickly, nodding.

"Yeah," he says, swallowing the bite of food he took, "Kai's really cool, and they're more than eager to work with us."

"Nate just hit it off with them," Gwen rolls her eyes.

Nate shakes his head, eating his food again.

Katie smiles, her eyes lighting up.

"I feel like everything ended up for the best, right? AJ pulled out of that coma, Nate made a new friend, and, well, everything's just great!" Katie says cheerily.

Gwen nods excitedly.

"We can't wait until AJ's able to go home with us, this is going to be such a new experience, a new start," Gwen tells her.

The three begin to talk about what they're the most excited for. Well, more like two as Nate continues to eat, only adding comments here and there. The future looks bright, brighter than one they could've imagined a mere two chapters ago. And although the readers may not be satisfied with the end. This is it, completely, wholly, what it is. As the days will pass for Random Encounters. For Gwen. For Nate. For AJ. For their newfound friend, Kai. They're destined to grow stronger, grow closer. And that's perfect, because they're all:
