Hermione and Draco just say there, not wanting to say anything that might ruin the moment. Even standing here, centimetres apart from him, gave Hermione flutters. She knew that she was crossing a boundary. Talking to him so close to the day that he betrayed them. He had called her mudblood and said treacherous things to her. But, seeing him here, tear stains on his cheeks, made her wonder if he was forced into this. They were so close that she could feel the heat coming from his body. But she could also feel the regret and dismay radiating from him. She nuzzled her hand into his, and whispered in his ear "Draco, meet me in the Three Broomsticks tomorrow, at three. We need to talk,".

The next day, She sat there. Her head in my hands, wondering if he will actually show up. She wanted to talk to him, but she had spent the past twenty minutes just wondering what she was going to say. She wanted to comfort him, to make him feel like he was before, confident. The bells chimed behind her, making her face the door. And there he was, in a white shirt and jeans, his hair blocking his misty eyes from view, but he looked around, spotted Hermione and sat down.
"Draco, I'm-" before she could say anything she cut him off.
"Hermione, I am sorry," he said, clenching his jaw, "for everything, I know it's hard to believe, I know you probably won't but, I have said it to Potter and the Weasley's and I will prove to you that I will change, for my and your sake "
Hermione didn't know what to say, she took his hand and wrapped hers around it, "I forgive you Draco, just forgive yourself,"
"Are you coming back to Hogwarts in September?" He asked, his head low.
"I will. I hope to see you there Draco. Hogwarts needs you,"
"But I don't think it wants me," he replied, his shoulders sinking lower into his chest.
"Fine then, I need you," she said. And with that he looked up. And smiled.
