The absence of Grand Master Varka put the Mond citizens uneasy but it quickly changed after knowing that Jean Gunh- however you say her last name rose to the rank of Acting Grand Master
Jean's the type to put herself last of her concerns and help people in need. Because of this, she overworks herself way too much that it causes her to faint frequently and in need of the church's medical support.
"Jean. How are you doing?"
"Lisa.. thank you for your concern. Is everyone in the Head Quarters doing alright?"
"That's not what I asked. Learn to take breaks and go on to enjoy yourself from time to time."
The Librarian Lisa of the Knights of Favonious is considered to be the Acting Grand Master's closest friend or even caretaker
"Hiya Jean! We brought food!" Amber excitedly bashed into her room alongside Aether and Paimon
"Thank you Amber, Honorary Knight. Ill be sure to eat them to recover faster." She replied
"Oh yea. Kaeya said that if you ever feel the need to take a break from being the Acting Grand Master, he knows the right person to choose." Ambers continues while her rabbit ribbon rose up
"Is that so? Send my thanks to him and tell him that it wouldn't be necessary."
The rest left Jean's room to give her time to rest and catch her breath. Jean picked up the romance light novel straight from the Yae Publishing Store that she discontinued.
She read pages after pages until her eyes couldn't anymore and she laid the book down. She took a big sigh of disappointment.
"I wish someone would be bold enough to tell me those 3 little words." She said to herself before succumbing to her slumber
Jean woke up stiffly and was met with the scent of the usual meal she gets every morning. She reaches for the tray on top of her bedside table
She read the notes alongside the food which was clearly hand written by Lisa
"Get some rest Dear. If you ever think that you're feeling better, you probably aren't. Albedo'll be there around noon so eat up before your check up."
A smile crept unto Jean's face knowing that she's at ease whenever she's off her duties. But she can't let that distract her from her duties as the Acting Grand Master
After a whole week confined in her room, she's finally fully re charged continue business once again. First thing's first, tidying up her room anddd laundries
"Ugh.. mornings." She groaned
She piled up clothes after clothes before stopping when she picked up a black dress that she used to wear during assemblies, Knight's special gatherings, weddings etc. After observing the dress, she continued to pile up laundries before finally heading out to get her fresh air after being locked up for a week.
As the Acting Grandmaster, she's quick to act and went back to action by helping civilians with troubles that they might need. The city was at peace again, she's confident that nothing bad could possibly happen and so, she headed out to Windrise.
"Wonder what else there is to do. I guess I could look for Kaeya, he's been absent for 3 days."
Each steps she takes, the more curious she gets. In behind the big tree by the small river, two figures were slightly visible to her. Both shares somewhat the same frame and clothing. She continued taking tiny steps closer as to not alert the two. She could barely hear what they're saying but it was still audible to her.
