We have storm home now!
Can't wait to begin our journey storm! Our friends are proper horse people they have everything of every size you could ask for so I decided I want to brake storm...
We first started with getting him used to a saddle pad going on and sliding off his back we done that one both sides even though you only mount a horse/pony and tack up a pony/horse and lead on the left side but you would like to get used to things happening on the right said as-well !
After he took to that he's had a bridal on before so we put one on him but this time with a roller and side reins ( if your not sure of any of these items just look up " horse waring E.G roller") then finally the saddle...
I was expecting worse to be fair.
But he was so good about it and took to it pretty well! We tightened up the girth only loose maybe on the first or second hole but he still took to that well!walk time!! Just walked him up and down the yard to get him used to moving this the tack on!Now we're out long reining him and for the first two times I had to get out friend to do it since we didn't know how he'd react and she's a lot more experienced. He turned out to do pretty well from the he had a few tantrums but on day three I was able to long rein him and he done so well!
On day four we taught he was ready for a bit more sir I leaned over his back and hung on like horizontally we had the saddle on too we walked him up and down with me over his back and he was doing really well! So we'll that they said that they think he's ready . So I carefully and gently lifted my right leg and slowly snuck it over his bum carful not to touch it! Then last but not least I sat up straight and boy did I fell grate this was the best think ever. I-I was riding him!!!
To be continued.....
My first sit on storm!
