Chapter 27

"I meant the next day, okay?" Seokjin looked away from the looks he was given.

Yoongi huffed at him. Seokjin was wrong once again. By the time night was here, the group was barely halfway to the castle. So by tomorrow noon, you should be there. Maybe. Now here you were, camping out in the wilderness. Thankfully, there's no creatures here to kill you anymore!

You munched happily on your dinner prepared by Hoseok. Seokjin looked so defeated that he ate his own dinner quietly. You feel bad now. As everyone was absorbed in their conversations, you quietly got up and sat down next to him. "Why are you persistent in finding your castle on your own?"

You spooked him but thankfully he didn't make a noise. Seokjin shrugged his shoulders, not answering. You were mildly amused at his childish antics. "Aren't you supposed to be a king? Why can't you answer me?"

Seokjin looked defeated. "Well, I thought I could prove myself useful and help out a little." He let out a sigh. "I guess I'm not that good, am I?"

You soaked in his words for a minute. "No, you are. You've helped support the team and thankfully you had all those books hidden in your library. I assumed you had all the information on Wonderland. Though it might be useful to dust them once in a while."

He looked happy at your words. "Really? Ah, well, thanks."

You think you cheered him up and were thinking of leaving. Though you decided to stay. It would be kind of rude to just get up and sit somewhere else. Thankfully you didn't do that as Seokjin started a conversation. "Will you be going home after we have a party?"

"Yeah." You finished off the rest of your dinner. "I'm not sure how many days it has been but I think my family will be worried."

Seokjin was quiet for a moment. "I don't think they will be too worried. Time works differently in this world so I think it has been a few minutes in your world."

"Really?"

He nodded. "I'm not sure how many minutes..."

This time, Taehyung jumped into the conversation. "It's only been about an hour in your world."

"How do you know that?" Suspiciously, you asked him.

"What?"

You and Seokjin glanced at each other. "Does he do this often?"

"Sometimes."

Taehyung huffed at you. "I have only done this a total of five times. You can go back and count all of it."

"Taehyung," You started off. "I have no idea what you're talking about."

The Mad Hatter smiled at you and the look of realization came across his face. "Never mind, you wouldn't understand."

"Yeah I don't." Sometimes, you wonder about these characters.

Hoseok clapped his hands together to bring all the attention onto him. "Everyone in their tents! We want an earlier start tomorrow so sleep. Or don't, I don't care."

You bid good night to everyone and headed inside your own tent. Soon you're going to be home! Possibly in two days, you're going home.

"Wow." Jimin stood there, his hands on his hips. "I was afraid that I might murder someone if we didn't come back to the castle in time."

The group finally made it to the castle! It took a little longer because Taehyung and Jungkook got into a fight. What was it? Ah, if they think that they can sing better than the other. You're vaguely aware of how the fight started. Some bird was singing in the forest then Taehyung softly started humming. Apparently Jungkook said no and started singing. It paused the group for a good minute before Jimin threatened them.
