Julia's POV:
The whole ride I was debating my decision. Did I do the right thing? What if Millie and rach could've helped me? Maybe I'm just thinking the impossible because I'm so nervous to return.
"I'm going to drop you off at your house, that ok kid?" Alex asks with a sympathetic smile. I didn't mind Alex. He was good company.
"Can you drop me off at the corner shop where you picked me up please?" I ask nervous, please don't ask why.
"Are you sure ? You have a lot of stuff kid, you know now you have all your England kit" he asks again
"Yeah" I simply sigh,
"No I'll drop you off at your house, don't worry I won't judge, I just don't want you carrying all that stuff across the city" he insisted, I know I can't get out of this so I simply nod and leave it. My mind instantly preparing myself for Andrew and Charlotte punishment. I noticed we were going over the speed limit but I didn't question it, I knew Alex wanted to get back to camp in time for dinner. This also meant my punishment was coming soon than expected.
Millie's POV:"Where the hell are they?" I ask as I stare at every car we pass, I knew what Alex's car looked like, I'm pretty sure everyone in the squad did.
"I don't know, Rach go faster" Leah said panicked, I don't know who's worse out of the three of us,
"I'm at the speed limit Leah" rach replies calmly whilst also trying to multitask looking at cars and focusing on the road,
"This is urgent Daly, the speed limit doesn't matter" Leah replies urgently, I hum agreeing with her, focusing all my attention on the cars we are passing,
"Leah! I would rather obey the speed limit and arrive at Julia's house than ignore it and not arrive at all! We might get there after her but at least we will arrive and not end up in jail!" Rach loses her shit, we were all panicked and in the heat of the moment, this caused an awkward silence until Leah spoke up again,
"I know I'm sorry, I'm just worried" she sighs in defeat, "I can't let them hurt her anymore"
"That's what we are trying to avoid Leah, but like Rach said, we are better off making it there eventually rather than not at all" I sigh, staring down cars I front of us,
"Alex must be speeding again" Rach whispers, "we still haven't caught up and we were only 5 minutes behind them" I could sense that she was giving up ,
"No don't do that, we need to stay strong for Lia" I say trying to keep myself thinking the worse
"Why stay strong for me?" Leah asks in the back
"Not you, Julia, she insisted we called her Lia" I fire back, remember our conversation with her,
"Oh, I didn't know, I never really had a proper conversation with her" Leah sighs, her voice trembling, I could tell she was on the verge of tears without looking at her,
"I'm not going to lie leah, I don't know the full extent of how you girls treat her, but nether the less I'm pissed off at you all, she is such a genuine kind hearted soul that doesn't deserve any of this, and the fact that she thought going back home to get beaten would be better than staying at camp" I sigh at the thought, "you lot must have done some pretty fucked up shit, but I know where the intentions came from, I know you were only trying to protect whites spot, but it still makes it wrong" I wanted to make her feel better but at the same time, she deserves to feel this guilt, she only started to care about Julia when she found out. I never in my life thought of my team mates as bullies, they're all one of my greatest friends made, I don't understand where it came from.
