New Beginning

This book is about a girl named Talia and how her life got changed around one month ago.
So we should all start from the beginning and how it all got started.............

Hi my name is Talia, I'm 18 and i'm in my freshman year of college. I share a room with my friend Savanna but she's never home.
Today is Monday, it's my second week of college. It's boring, I'm trying to be a nurse. I'm in my English class, the last class of the day for me, and I'm going to meet up with my friend Katelyn. I'm walking down the hall to go find Katelyn and I bump into someone. "Watch where you going." They say to me. When I look up its savanna. I speak up, "Hey Girl, what you doing ?" She smiled at me sweetly, "Nothing going to math . Where you bout to go?" "going to meet up with Katelyn to get some coffee and then going to see her mom " she looks at me eyes creased in confusion. "What's wrong with her mom?" "Nothing her mom just got a divorce, she's depressed so we bout to go over there to cheer her up." "ok" She says her quick one word answer. "do you want to come?" I ask hoping her answer would be yes. She smirks at me, "No, I'm going to see my man today." She says sassily. "OK, well see you later."  I continue walking down the hall and I see Katelyn talking to her ex boyfriend. What the hell does she think she doing. "Katelyn" I yelled down the hall letting my anger come out. "Bring your ass over here." She looks back at me with a dumb look on her face. She better have a fucken dumb look on her face. What the hell, is this the same guy that beat her ass a month ago because he thought she was cheating. She quietly shouts to me, "give me a minute." "no." "I'll be right there." She say quietly. I roll my eyes.

She comes over with her head down, looking at me through thick lashes she quietly says, "Hey" with a quick wave of her hand. "Don't hey me!", I say so loud Katelyn jumps." What are you doing talking to him?! Isn't that the same guy that you came over to my house crying for? The same guy that cheated and left you with bruises?!" I stop to give her time to answer one of my questions. She stares at me in bewilderment. And I can see why, I've never yelled at her before. "He was just apologizing" Katelyn tells me. Her voice and entire demeanor mousey. I try to give her a break, because of all that's going on with her mom. My voice softens," And what did you say?" " I told him that I wasn't going through that again, and that there wasn't a chance we were getting back together.", her voice somewhat rising as she says it. "Okay" I say. She gives me a pitiful its fine look, so I change the subject." Time to go visit your Ma." I give her my biggest heart melting grin. She smiles weakly at me, but I know she's feeling a little better. She might seem a little fragile, but after all she's been through I know that she is one tough cookie. So we went to Starbucks finally got a coffee and now we're on our way to her mom's house. When we get to her mom's house there's a car in the driveway, "Katelyn who's car is that in the driveway." "Mama's best friend from college, his name is James he just lost his wife and son." "How did they die?" "They got into a car crash and he was the only one who survived." "That sucks r.i.p to his family." We finally walked into Katelyn's house and I ran up to her momma and gave her a big hug. She spoke first, "Hi honey it's nice to see you, haven't seen you in a while, how is school going, no new boys you're talking to?" "No been too busy going to work and doing homework for school." Katelyn then speaks, "Hi Mom, hi James, what was y'all talking about?" Kaitlyn's mom answered her, "Nothing we just catching up, James are you okay?" He answers staring at me, "Yes I'm ok, she just looks just like my wife." Katelyn's mom looks at him, "Who looks just like your wife?" "Katelyn's friend." Fear striked into my eyes "Katelyn, you're mom's friend is weird." I whisper in her ear. She answers me shocked "He's normally not I don't know why he keeps looking at you like that." "I think it's time to go."I say slowly walking away, it was nice seeing you again I have to go to work it's nice meeting you James" I lied to leave. "Will I see you back at school, I'm going to stay here and hang out with my mom a little bit longer."  "Yes, okay girl call me if you need me." As I walk back to my car I'm just thinking, that was weird.
