" Freedom, " they thought to themselves. " What does that even mean? "
It was a strange question. Yet as their mind muddled through the darkness and through what they thought was a dream.
" When I was younger, I thought it was about getting rid of all childish things, of growing up and becoming an adult while I forgot about those things. "
Yet that didn't seem right, not after becoming an adult and wanting to escape back from the city to the country, to get away from everything—all those things that never seemed to be going right in their lives.
" The pain of loneliness is even worse than these thorns. And I am tired of being alone, so, " they thought to only themself. " Maybe I should go back to that place, that place that I thought I should free myself of, of my childhood dreams. Maybe that is true freedom. "
And so they decided to push back the thorns and move forward.
