by the time I got to elementary school I was a really good player. in the 4th grade I started playing elementary school ball & I was playing aau basketball with the Lady Legends. my elementary school team wasn't really good. we won some games but if the team was good we lost. when aau season came around. I was playing with girls I never really met. I was really nervous when I went to tryout for the team. I didn't think I was going to make it. I went to tryouts I had never seen anyone of those girls before. there was one girl that started talking to me when I came in. her dad was over the organization. her name was Achante. she was a tall lightskin girl. she was really nice, she told me what to do when I first walked in. I was really glad she was there.

during the tryouts Achante was with my group a lot. we did a lot of stuff that I had never done before. I was really nervous that I wasn't going to make the team because I ha never done the stuff before. Achante kept telling me that I was doing good and I was going to be okay. we kept doing a lot of drills then it was time to scrimmage. now I was really nervous wonder if I didn't do what they wanted me to do. we started picking teams & Achante picked me on her team. we started scrimmaging. I was going okay at first but then I shot a jumpsuit. I air balled, I was so embarrassed. we ended up subbing out. after he called all the parents into a room. Achante walked over to me she started talking to me. she gave me her phone number & her social media usernames. she said she thinks we are going to be teammates.

when my mom came out the room. she had 4 jerseys. she said I mad my grade level & Achantes grade level. I did a lot better than I thought. aau was going to be weird. I was the only young one on the older team. we will see how this goes.
