"Your Late Ms. Maybel..." My manager says. "Yes, I know. What's the event for today?" I ask "Well it's Nora's Birthday today and you know how she is with all the arrangements and the Instagram." "Shouldn't you be the ones who are gonna prepare that, Boss?" I say sarcastically.
"First of all, don't talk with me with sarcasm. Second, you're going to do it, but since you're late, I asked Liana to help you. Third of all call me By my name, Sarah, for special occasions only plus-" "Liana?" I exclaim. "Yes, Liana," says Sarah.
"Why? liana is the worst person on earth. Plus she only talks about how many fans she has on youtube and how she's so rich she could BUY the EARTH." I exclaim "Yes yes I know but you have to work together for this, besides I have to run the shop while you prepare at her house. I'll come there during the celebration. Just be happy for Nora k'? And with Liana." "Fine," I say
I go to the mall and enter the decoration section. I go into the Birthday Isle and enter "Barry's Birthday Decor." "Hello good evening, how can I help you?" A staff member says to me. "No thank you I'm just looking for these things on the list".
I hand him a piece of paper containing a list of items." All right all that you need is in aisle 7.". "Thank you," I say while walking to the aisle. Many decorations are there. And what I mean by many is a LOT many.
Suddenly I see this huge clown statue in the middle of the aisle. I freeze. I HATE clowns. To me there like the creepiest thing on earth. I try to look away but I can't seem to help it. I walk past it and go to the end, the back of the clown.
'I'm just gonna chose what's on the list and get out of here I say to myself. I chose all that I needed, except the banner. The banner is on the other side of the aisle, where the front of the clown is.
I slowly walk past it, grab the banner, and slowly walk out. I go to the counter and see an old Chinese man. while he scans the items he looks at me smiling. I look at him nicely but inside, I feel like he's a creep. Kind of weird you know.
Once he was done scanning, he pulled my arm and said, "A fortune awaits you". He releases my arm and I stare at him for a while. Suddenly someone pushes me and I move to the side, banging my head on the wall. I hold my head up and leave the store.
'What did he mean by fortune' I say to myself. I leave the mall and drove to Nora's house, My mind was still blocked by the word, 'fortune'.
