Chapter One

"What do you remember?"

What do I remember?

The regal woman in front of me asked as she handed me a colorless drink. Her face stoic, she stared at me like I had done the biggest crime in history of crimes. She turned her back on me as I stared at her physique, long blond hair held back sleekly with a golden crown on top of her head.

She wore a long white sleeveless dress with golden embroideries made of silk, but despite her lady-like appearance I can see the fire in her eyes that made her looked twice as threatening than a soldier in his suit.

This situation creeps me out; I woke up like this, strapped in a chair inside what looks like a containment room, being intimidated by a stranger. My memories are pretty hazy, my body feels numb and there's this distinct buzzing in my head that creates a dull ache, like waking up from a short unexpected nap.

The woman turned back around with a glare motioning me finish the drink she gave me. I sunk in my seat as I took the drink in my hand and drank all its contents in one gulp. I stared at her back as I tried to search my memories-What do I remember? I held my breath and closed my eyes as my body recalled-a strong sensation and within minutes I fell into oblivion.

I woke up in darkness, a place of nothingness,In my conscious mind.

Indescribable pain-heat consuming me, burning me from the inside out, dissolving me together with my memories, I remembered a voice, booming and commanding putting me to sleep- killing me- resurrecting me, from ashes to fire. I remembered a hand-reaching towards me as I plummet down the heat of flames and lava. I remembered a silhouette of a man, smiling at me,telling me something I can't quite understand.

"To be reborn-" I heard an echoing voice in my head. Lava-lava entering inside me, in my veins- pumping, getting close to my heart, I can felt the heat now-felt it physically, consuming me- I opened my eyes and gasped as the heat radiate in my skin- shaking my head I tried to get rid of the voices but one rang louder from the rest.

"First you must accept..." It continued-it's voice majestic and commanding. Soothing- like following it comes natural to me but forceful because it was not what I wanted.

"No!" I screamed as I clutched my head but the voice wouldn't stop.

"Accept death...My child" It booms-its voice getting louder and louder. I let out a loud roar screaming in the top of my lungs as I welcomed the overwhelming sensation inside of me. I could feel the heat surge now from inside me coming out- I could feel fire, fire forming in my hands-lava flowing from my eyes, I roared in pain as I try to form words from my mouth. I managed to gasp, "What are you doing to me?!"

The woman in front of me just stared- but this time her stare was not as stoic because I could see it, in her eyes, that she's afraid of me. I let out another scream as I fire engulfed the room I wanted the woman to go away; I wanted her far away from me. But the woman just stood there, the licks of fire didn't bother her, in fact it didn't seem to reach her. It's like she's protected with some sort of invisible shield. Then as my gaze stared long and hard at her, I can see it; Air- solid air surrounded her- protecting her from the fire.

After trying to figure me out she whispered,

"The prophecy Phoîniks"

As she called me out with that name I felt the strong voice inside me stir. Then altogether, I gave up.

I let it control me; I gave up from the heat, the exhaustion, the shock- I let go.

As I let go I felt an eerie calm wash over me, it was like I'm two people at once. Like an out of body experience, I could see the situation perfectly, me sitting in strapped in a chair engulfed in flames and the woman standing calm, for the first time I noticed that she was floating. She called me with that name again, "Phoîniks". Then something inside me awakened, something ancient, strong and powerful, clawing its way from inside me.

"يسودالظلامبمجردتوقظالضوء. معركةلكسبهاوتتخذواحدة. يجبإنقاذالعالم؟أوينبغيأنتهتزله. روحينقوية،ولكنالقبرالمروعةواحد. فينيكسيجبأنيرتفعمنالكهف،فإنهيجبأنهزيمةالشريرشيطاني," The words I chanted forming from my mouth seemed to come out and glow, it glowed in bright gold and floated around in the flames, each word, becoming more and more powerful. The woman's face calmed in understanding but I could still see the horror in her eyes.

Then as fast as the words were spoken, they were gone and I was back in my body. The flames faded into smoke and mist- it was as if I'd imagines the whole thing. Was it the drink she gave me? But I swear somewhere in my conscious mind that what just happened was real. It took a lot of strength to lift my head up,to stare at the woman and ask.

"Tell me, what does that mean?"

She looked at me for a second then her gaze drift off. She spoke it in hushed tones as if this was a secret only shared for the two of us.

"Darkness prevails once light has awakened. A battle is to be won and one shall be taken. Should the world be saved? Or should it be shaken. Two powerful souls, but one dreadful grave. The Phoenix must rise from its cave. It must defeat the demonic knave."

"What does that mean?!" I shouted with the last of my strength and before I blacked out the woman gave me pointed and look as she said with a fake confidence and a grim smile.

"It means...It has begun"
