The sound of Ceylin's stilettos echoed down the hallway leading to Ilgaz's office. She casually threw her robe through her purse and walked swiftly towards Özge's desk, where she nodded to her in greeting.
"Is Ilgaz in?" she asked and without waiting for an answer she entered Ilgaz's office without knocking. Her husband was sitting at his desk completely absorbed by the file opened in front of him, but as soon as she entered, he raised his head and smiled radiantly.
"Ceylin, what are you doing here? Wait..." He got up from his chair and looked at his watch, "I was so busy today I didn't even notice what time it is. How did your trial go?" he asked with a soft voice, wrapping his hands around Ceylin' form and pulling her towards him. He tucked her hair behind her ear and kissed her temple, inhaling her sweet scent. Ilgaz stepped back a few steps sitting in his chair and pulled Ceylin towards him, pulling her on his lap.
This was Ceylin's first case since their wedding, she was determined to win it and start rebuilding her reputation after a pretty tough previous year. Ceylin was representing a young men who was accused of hitting a woman with a car and fleeing from the scene without helping her. Her client was claiming that the accident was the woman's fault and that he in fact tried to help her but she refused his offer. Fortunately, Ceylin managed to find a witness to this whole event in time, and the icing on the cake was a recording from a dash camera from a car that was parked near the scene of the accident, which confirmed the version of events of her client.
"I won it. I prepared the line of defense in such a way that the girl's lawyer could not do anything. I wish you had seen his face when I played this video footage, it looked like he was having a stroke," she stepped back enough to look at Ilgaz's face again, "It felt so good to be back in the courtroom as a lawyer again. I didn't even realize that I missed it so much."
"I didn't doubt you would win, I saw how hard you worked on this case. Congratulations Sevgilim, you earned that," he said softly.
"Does that mean I deserve a victory kiss, Sayın Savcım?" she asked with a playful smile.
"I think this is a very fair request Avukat Hanım, I'll happily fulfill your request," he murmured with a sly grin, his lips millimeters from her mouth.
Ilgaz was only going to quickly peck her on the lips, but one kiss turned into another and another one and soon they were practically making out in his office like there was no tomorrow. Ceylin ran her fingertips through Ilgaz's silky hair, gently digging them into his scalp and the action sent delicious shivers down his spine. Ilgaz growled in response and changed the angle of their kiss, deepening it even more.
"Is such a kiss satisfying to you?" asked Ilgaz, still trying to catch his breath when they reluctantly broke away from each other.
"If I'll get these kind of kisses for every case I'll win, I'm going to have the highest rate of winning cases among lawyers, Sayın Savcım," said Ceylin beaming at him.
"Oh yes? Then I'm really lucky to have married such a wonderful, incredibly intelligent and utterly beautiful lawyer and not having to face her in the courtroom." He murmured while pressing his forehead against hers.
"Yes, you're very lucky," she leaned towards him, ready to give him another mind-blowing kiss.
There was a short, loud knock on the door and Pars walked in. Ceylin hastily got up from Ilgaz's lap, straightened her shirt and summoned an innocent expression on her face.
"Ilgaz, I have these files that you asked for..." Pars raised his head and looked at them surprised, "I see that the two of you didn't quite come back from your honeymoon yet, I'd better go then."
Ilgaz got up correcting his tie and took the files from his friend with the face of a kid that was caught with his hand in a cookie jar. Pars was about to leave, but at the last moment he turned around and gestured to Ilgaz "You have lipstick all over your face, and You" he pointed to Ceylin "should fix your hair. And for the future I beg you, have a mercy on me and other innocent citizens and lock the door," Pars gave them a stern look, but there was a hint of a smile on his lips.
When Pars left, carefully closing the door behind him, Ilgaz and Ceylin breathed a sigh of relief then looked at each other and burst out laughing uncontrollably.
"Come here," Ceylin approached still giggling Ilgaz and wiped her lipstick off her husband's face with her thumb, looking straight into his eyes while doing this. Ilgaz on the other hand, stretched out his right hand and smoothed her hair with a gentle gesture. They lost themselves in their little world while staring deep into each other's eyes. Nothing else mattered when they were in each other arms.
"Oh I almost forgot, I've got a surprise," Ceylin began to chaotically search her purse, then with a cry of triumph clenched her hand on a small thing.
"Here, in case you would ever need a lawyer," she slipped a rectangular cardboard box into the pocket of his navy suit jacket – her favorite one. Ilgaz reached into his jacket with a questioning look and pulled out a rectangular business card. On one side with black, simple letters was written - Avucat Ceylin Erguvan Kaya. He looked at the Erguvan Kaya feeling unimaginable pride and affection to see another proof that he and Ceylin truly belonged to each other. Ilgaz gently grabbed Ceylin's hand and lifted it to his mouth, kissing it where her wedding ring was. Without words he tried to convey to her everything he could not express with words. Ceylin grasped Ilgaz's face, lightly tracing the contours of his jaw and cheeks with her fingertips while still looking deep into his brown eyes, continuing their wordless conversation.
"What do you say about a nice dinner at a restaurant to celebrate your win?" Ilgaz reached and tucked the loose strand of her hair behind her ears.
"Dinner? Why don't we go straight to the dessert?" the lawyer teased moving her hands to his neck.
"Ceylin..." Ilgaz groaned painfully. Ceylin drove him crazy like nobody else and he loved every moment of it. She was making him feel things he never thought he would feel. When she was next to him all he wanted to do was to hold her and never let go.
"I'll better go. See you at home," she kissed his cheek and reached for her bag.
Ilgaz felt a pang of longing in his heart. He had already begun to miss the presence of his hurricane of a woman. He looked at the pile of files on his desk and quickly made up his mind.
"Wait, I'm going with you. I don't have any hearings today and I can review these files at home." He said, hastily collecting the necessary documents.
"I don't recognize you Ilgaz, I think I'm having a bad influence on you," Ceylin said while cupping his cheek and pinching it.
"Is it wrong that I want to spend more time with my wife? Unless you have something against it?" bantered Ilgaz.
"Against it? Never. And do you have any specific idea how you want to spend time with your wife?" asked Ceylin with an innocent smile on her face.
"Oh, I have a lot of ideas, I don't know where to start," he replied with a twinkle in his eyes then grabbed Ceylin's hand and they left the office together, hastily closing the door behind them.
