𝐈'𝐌 𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐘

Aidan had been shuffling around, not able to fall asleep. As bad as it will sound, Aidan was used to Gage holding him (practically hostage) while he was asleep.

It's not that Aidan wasn't relieved and glad to be away from him for now, he was, really. But that small amount of what he considered "affection" wasn't there to help him sleep.

He had gotten the idea to ask Jace if he could at least sleep in the same room as him, but Jace might think it would be weird.

Yet, Aidan wouldn't know unless he asked. He got up from the couch and walked down the hall, past the bathroom and got to Jace's door.

The door had been left ajar, Aidan wondered if Jace meant to do that. He pushed the door open slowly and then came into the room, walking over to where Jace was asleep.

"Jace?" Aidan whispered, but Jace didn't seem to respond, or move. So this time Aidan tapped his shoulder lightly, and this time Jace made some movement.

"What's wrong?" Jace mumbled, still half asleep. Aidan felt embarrassed, even childish for this, "Is it ok if I um.. if I sleep with you?" Aidan said, not only was he feeling those 2 things he was also afraid of being rejected.

He saw that Jace was moving over on the mattress and was lightly tapping his hand on the empty side of the bed, Aidan got in bed next him.

At first Aidan thought about leaving the room and going back to the couch, but he felt safe with Jace. Instead he pushed off the feeling and laid down and eventually fell asleep.

In the morning when Aidan woke up, he saw that Jace was gone. He even looked around the room but there was still no sign of him.

Aidan got up out of bed and came out of the room, he smelled something being cooked in the kitchen and walked in and saw Jace.

Except that he saw him struggling with whatever he was trying to make, "Goddamn it-" Jace mumbled to himself not knowing that Aidan was in the room with him.

"Do you need help?" Aidan asked, Jace looked over and saw him standing in the doorway of the hall smiling a little, Jace smiled back a little and nodded, "Yeah, apparently I can't cook a tomato without burning it-" he responded.

Aidan was confused now, he wondered why Jace was trying to cook tomatoes of all things. But Jace saw that Aidan was confused and chuckled softly.

"It's my aunts breakfast recipe that she used to make that I loved as a kid," Jace explained. Aidan was no longer confused and he came over, noe standing next to him. "I can try and help you if you want?" Aidan said.

Jace looked at him shaking his head, "Sure, I'd be fine with that" he responded.

Even though that Aidan and Jace were almost messing around the entire time that they were trying to make it breakfast, it was fun for them both.

But eventually they figured out how to goof off and help at the same time, which made it better for them instead of it being boring.

Jace had been trying to calm himself down from laughing for the past 10 minutes, Aidan was somewhat calm, but still giggly here and there. Still enough to catch his breath though.
