I walked by the thick forest, carefully moving my way through the trees as I pass by, laying my hand on certain trees to keep my balance and shadow my figure. I glanced around my form, tall forestry hovering over me along with the fain light glooming through the patches of tree where it wasn't as thick. I kept myself shielded myself from the light, snaking my eyes back towards the road to spot any oncoming monsters or in general anything that had a heart beat. Being here caused my nerves to spike, the black bandana across my nose crinkled when I scowled across the surface of asphalt, I only needed a little bit of supplies, any closed department store would work, or any gas station would go good for what I needed. After that I'd go back into the woods and cave down into my small hidden cabin. If I could grab some food and most importantly water I'd be good to start heading away from this massive town, crawling with soul sucking monsters, hungry for human flesh and power over anyone that tried to stop them. I blindly ducked under branches, carefully crawling my way into the night of the streets, keeping the hood over my eyes, ahead I could see a small store, it looked closed and much too perfect to rob. My expression soured, it wasn't something I was fond of doing but I didn't want to head deeper into the town and get caught so instead I headed towards the building still keeping halfway into the bunches of thick snow glazed trees. I snapped my gaze to the sky, it was dark, muddied with gray clouds dusting the earth with gentle flakes of cold ice, I used to love winter, I loved spending it with my boyfriend, snowboarding with him brought a small smile curving up onto my cold lips. I quickly snapped out of the dream when I had heard yelling from afar, I darted my way behind a tree watching from the darkness, a fat squid like monster creeped up from the street, mumbling curse words and not sparing the tree line a single glance before quickly turning into an alleyway. I stayed silent, aching my limps into an uncomfortable position until a few minutes had passed then continued down towards the building, closing in on the dirty gray paint on the outside. It looked rundown but I could still tell items and products were littered across shelves in the small area. I was glad it was dark, it helped me to run around without being spotted by anyone, if any monsters found me I was pretty much dead, they had taken everything from me when I was young, I despised them but I wasn't stronger than them like an unfair play game. It had been years since they had come up to the surface, everyone took the new information differently, some horrified, others were curious, that soon changed when we found out how they really acted against us humans. They were brutal, that wanted to watch us suffer, I had survived surprisingly, my parents had not in the end, by that cursed demon that now ran the earth, refusing to let their grip loosen on such land and freedom of the real world. A little part of me knew it was just pay back from what humans had done to them but right now pressing my back against the cold bricks and remembering how hard it had been all by myself that thought disappeared into a blissful dream. Nothing they did now would change my formed mindset around them, they were evil and deserved everything we had given them in the past, not a single part of me wished they had come up from underneath, they needed to perish down there where they belonged. They killed so many poor innocent souls, because it was fun, because they could or because they could keep them as slaves and pets, torturing them to please them in anyway, it was disgusting.

I took a deep breath in, forcing myself to calm down while my back continued to freeze under the cold temperatures the bricks had gone through, taking any heat away from my shallow body to heat them like greedy little soul sucking parasites. I tightened my bag against my shoulders, holding things I thought I would need such as knives, water, food and a lock picking set, small items leading up to my ultimate luxury of getting out of here fast with what I needed. i turned looking across the building and finding a small ladder leading to the roof, it was probably the most simple way to get into the building so I shuffled my way over to the bars I took a deep breath inside and exhaled quietly, jumping with all my strength and latching one of my hands against the cold stainless steel pegs. I swung and caught my hand next to my other hand already on the pegs I scrapped my feet against the bricks until I got some force and launched myself upwards, grabbing onto higher pegs and forcing my way onto the roof, rolling on top and taking a breath in, first step down. I stood up, hunching my back over incase someone could see me from the bottom of the streets, I scurried my way over to the opening from the top looking at the simple lock they had placed on it from the outside which was honestly a dumb move towards them but I wasn't complaining. With ease I brought my lock picking set out and got to work on the lock, my breathing turning into a light fog half way through the process. When I did happen to unlock it I was quick to pull the door open and gently place it completely down on top of the roof. When I was finished setting everything up I looked down the hole and got into a seated pose with my legs dangling beneath me, I slipped into the darkness of the store casually getting up and brushing the wet snow off my hoodie, already feeling the chilling air against my poor skin. The first thing I did was look around, finding any hidden cameras or security rooms but their wasn't, not a single one which was odd, me nerves flared up but I couldn't loose the opportunity to get food and water so I shrugged off the feeling reluctantly and unzipped my bag, going through the sections of each food group ranging from cupcakes to jerky, I took the most protein snacks and a few extra goodies then filled the rest of the bag back with bottles of water, maybe an extra red bull in there for pleasure. When I deemed I was set for I brought the chair from the back underneath the hole and quickly pulled the bag over my shoulders, climbing aboard the chair and looking up into the dark sky. I jumped up and struggled my way through the tiny hole atop of the ceiling. I was rather quick to make sure to close the top door afterwards ad climb down the ladder, in need of wanting to get away from this hell hole in the first place.
