Vi hasn't been the same since Maya was taken. Everyone noticed that. So Ekko decided to tell them that they should go on a big mission for her.
Vi obviously agreed and everyone sorta just went along with it. Though some things developed in Vi since Maya was taken.
Anxiety, self doubt, overthinking, Claggor is starting to think depression, etc.
It took months to find a job that Vi was happy with. She tried to be happy through the mission, but at times she got stressed.
When they got back they got into a fight. But when they got back to the last drop, there was no one to complain to her about how she had just freshly wrapped her hands and now it's ruined.
Sadness was the one main emotion she felt that day, mixed with anger and stress.
A couple of days later enforcers went into the last drop looking for them. Powder was almost spotted and Vi went off.

"Are you guys alright?" Vander had just busted into the room after the enforcers left. Vi jumped down.
"No we're not alright! They almost saw Powder,What if they took her?!" Everyone else had jumped down, Powder turned on a light.
"No one is taking anyone." Vander tried to assure her, but vi wasn't being assured any time soon.
"Can't you see?! It's already happening, it's already happened! They took Maya!" She stepped forward, hitting the wall.
"We need to fight back!" She pulled her hand away, rubbing it. "And if you won't, I will."
Vander sighed. "I've heard this talk before." With that Vander and Vi both left.

Vander and Vi had a talk on the bridge where they first met. The talk was upsetting.
But Maya was brought up once again.

Vi put her head on Vander's shoulder. "I miss her..." Vander sighed.
"I know, I do too, but she's gone, there's nothing you can do."
"But I feel like I could've done something..." Tears welled up in Vi's eyes.
"You couldn't. The enforcers had a goal, they were taking her no matter what was done."
A tear slipped down her face. "I know..."

"Wish me luck?"
"Yeah... You'll need it."
