Aleksander opened their mouth. Rain decorated their face, leaving beautiful shining trails of liquid. Aleks loved rain. Free water! As stupid as it sounds, this was the only way for Aleks to get water. The fountains were filled with filth from those with no homes. The city couldn't afford free water sources, and so, for Aleksander, and many others, rain was the only way to get water. Rising from their knees, Aleks stoop up and shook their wings lightly. The dark feathers sparkled under the moonlight, water made them feel heavy. Aleks knew that with heavy wings, they wouldn't be able to move far, and with so little energy, they had to budget every calorie.
Aleks rose their head up to the lord and whispered "Vagus Intra." Their powerful wings tensed, and began to curl up, soon after. Aleksander let out a screech. Their powerful voice echoed from building to building. Their tears merged in with the precious rain. The pain - overwhelming, caused them to collapse on their knees yet again. Panting. Grasping. Yelping. Seconds lasted hours. The holes in Aleks' shirt revealed two long scars across their back, both raw, yet not bleeding. The perks of being a fallen angel, huh?

David Cane was walking down a rather empty street, his head held high as he was tossing a coin into the air, catching it, then repeating the process. David had a fondness for that coin, as it was the only thing his father left him when he abandoned him at an Asylum numerous years ago. It had started to rain, and David let a sly grin spread across his face. David loved the rain. David looked down at his black dress shoes, ensuring they weren't too ghastly for show. Accompanying his shoes were a fine pair of black suit pants. He was also wearing a black shirt, the sleeves rolled up, a black waistcoat embroidered with a peculiar red design. He always kept the top button of his shirt undone. David stopped at the end of an alley. He spoke to himself. "I suppose I may get there quicker if I go through here..." David stood into the alley and proceeded to walk down it. He kept tossing his coin into the air. Eventually, Aleks caught his eye, and he looked in their direction, muttering something under his breath to himself.
-"Disgusting..."

Aleksander's eyes were beautiful. A pure shade of mesmerizing silver. A slight trace of ice blue surrounded the pupil. Rainwater washed down Aleks' face, dripping into their mouth. Licking their lips, they smiled. The water felt so refreshing.
The sound of boots hitting the wet pavement ringed in their ears. The sound enhanced with each drop that fell into Aleks' lips. So sweet. Nourishing.
"Disgusting" hit harder than it normally would have. Aleks was a quiet being. Never picked fights. Never took anything to heart, never frowned. The perfect angel. They glided heavens upon a white spirit. Aleksander's nature was embroidered to show peace.
However, Aleks' eyes flickered. Their eyes turned to a bright red, pupils, a shade of blood red. Their shoulders stiffened. Hands trembled. Their smile widened, and it felt as though Aleks' heart had disintegrated.
With each muscle at strain, Aleksander lowered themselves, closer to the ice cold pavement - shot their neck back. Gasped. Inhaled. Breath, so sweet. Nourishing.
- "You what?" deep pitch turned into a giggle.

David tossed the coin up into the air one last time, and caught it in his hand as he stopped walking. He slowly turned towards them with a sympathetic smile.
