Chapter one. Freedom is the worst prison.

1.   Adam Roy – Born in 1990. Unemployed, Been to prison one time. For two years. Never married.
2.   Joshua Martin – Born in 1988. Guard at local nigh club. Been to prison two times. Married in 2009.  No children.
3.   Katrina Martin – Born in 1990. Barista at local night club. Never married.
4.   Randy Roy – Born in 1965. Owner of the local coffee shop named “Roy’s”. Divorced in 1991. Never married again.

It was June 25th of 2009. The weather was great. It was hot but residences of Culonia love such kind of weather. Every one was enjoying the weather and the nature. Except one person.
     It was one of the worst days of Adam. He was standing at the gate of prison. Without any idea what to do. He had been in prison for two years. He was thinking that he lost his future. Partly it was true. In this country if you ever get arrested it means you are considered as a part of the crime world already. Adam was inside crying.  He was only 19 years old. And he already got the happened to spend two years of his life in prison. He did not want to go home. He could not look at his father’s eyes he thought. He did not have any home of his own yet. Cuz he was still 17 when he got arrested. So it was time to finally find home to live. There was only one option. And it was Joshua. Adam’s childhood friend. He started waking to Joshua’s home. There was nobody waiting for him. He individually asked the prison principles not to tell anyone. He thought he would not want to see anyone when he gets out. But now he realizes that it feels better if there is someone waiting for you when you finally get to be free out of prison cells. On his way to Joshua’s he thought it would be better if he grabs a few bred  and something else for Joshua. As he lives on his own, it might be goo. He entered to the market, and took two bred and a bottle of soda. He went to the cashier and asked how much it was, Cashier said 7 bucks. When he took his wallet out there was no money. He forgot that the prison guards. It was common in this country. Government  used to pay not much to police. So they used to use their name to earn their own money.  He started t get really embarrassed. Cuz before when he was younger he always used to have enough money for a bred and soda. His dad did what he could in order to provide him. As his dad used to have a coffee shop, money was not so big deal for them. Now it was the first time he did not have money on him. He said sorry and returned the things in place. Cashier got angry cuz he consumed cashier’s time. So the cashier started yelling at him.
 The cashier: Why the hell would you take my time if you could not buy anything.  You homeless loser.   Go get a job and earn some money bitch.
 
Adam looked angry and helpless at the same time. If it happened before  he would not let anyone to talk to him like that. But after prison he learnt that some times it best to keep quiet and obey. And so he started walking out. And cashier said.
The cashier: If you can not find any job there is always colored street is available.  
 
That was out of the line. Cuz the colored street used to mean the place, the street where the cheap prostitutes stay and sell their bodies. Adam looked back at the cashier so seriously that the cashier who was insulting him just ten seconds ago started to worry about his life.  Adam jumped onto the cashier and starting to beat the shit out of him. The crowd tried to stop him but could not. And in the end some one grabbed the Adam from behind and threw him into Sodas shelf. Adam immediately stood up and fixed his clothes. He did not even try to get to the cashier again. Cuz he knew t was enough. He noticed that everyone was staring at him. And he realized that just in a minute the insulting jack ass cashier guy turned into the victim, and the real victim started to look like a bad guy. So He took his beg and walked out of the shop. He felt so hopeless. And now he might even go back to prison. Actually it would even be better, The freedom is actually even worse than the prison. Yup the freedom was the worst prison. And the suddenly The black Mercedes stopped by him. And someone got out of it. Adam was starting to run away, he thought that was the shop’s owner. But the guy just put 4 bred, 3 soda cans and a box of cigarettes onto the post box by himself and without any words left. Adam went to Post box and looked through things. Why would they give me 3 can of sodas he thought. Adam was smart, so he figured out that there is going to be someone living with him. One can for each. Why 4 bred, does that mean I can stay there only for four days. Hmm. If I remember correctly Joshua used to  have his food bought from the market daily. So that means they have been following me and my friends? Who the hell are they? And from the box of cigarettes I can say that Joshua started smoking. He thought.
       In millions of thoughts Adam arrived to Joshua’s building. About three months before Adam went to prison Joshua moved into his new apartment. Adam found this place for him, it was Adam’s old friend’s old apartment. Joshua always wanted to know who that old friend is, but Adam never told.
     Adam finally got up to 6th floor where Joshua lives. He knocked on the door. A when the door opened both Adam and the person at the door were completly shocked.
 
      2004 Colonia city, Colonia. Carol was playing with her friends at school. And the min gate opened and “The Dr. Cooper’s medical school” bus arrived to the school. Everyone was wondering what  medical school’s students might be doing here. The buses’ door opened and students started to come out. One female student caught Carol’s attention. There was a girl, red haired, small and it was obvious that there was something bothering her in deep inside. Caro was usually interested in knowing and hearing about people’s problems. So she wanted to talk to her. She waited for all people to get into the building. She waited for the girl to be left alone. She knew that as the character and the speed like that she would be soon left out unnoticed. And she was right. She went up to her. And told her own predictions.
Carol: Hey cutie girl. Wait up. Looks like you are suffering from something. Are you? What is that? Tell me.
The girl: No I don’t know you. And I don’t want to talk to you. You look suspicious.
Carol: Ohh come on. I am not going to hurt you. What could a helpless alone girl do to you. Come on tell me. Your father left you  and your family. He did. Did not he? He always used to drink and hit you and your mama right?  
At that moment girl was about to start crying. Carol noticed it and started to go further. Because some how she used to enjoy watching people crying.
Carol: Oh sweetheart. Don’t cry. You think you are the reason why your father hit your mama and left you. Maybe you are right. But that’s not the reason for you to cry.
Carol was going well until she felt the strong foot kick on the back of her head. That was Adam. He and Joshua’s sister Katrina used to study at “ The Dr. Cooper’s medical school”. Joshua also went to that school. But at those times Joshua’s parents were just divorced. And as his mother Mrs. Martin or after the divorce Ivanova was Russian and her so hard Russian accent. It was hard to find a good paid job for her. So Joshua dropped out of school and started working in order to help his mother. Gospoja Ivanova ( She asked them to call her that way ) was psychologist back in Soviet Union. She has studied at Moscow State University. That is where Joshua’s parents had met. So maybe from his mother, Joshua could feel people’s sadness or depression. So he felt his sister’s depression. So he asked Adam to take care of her. Adam was very loyal to his friends. So he used to stay true for his oath no matter whatever it takes. Even this time he joined the group in order to protect Katrina. And when he saw Carol talking to her, and Katrina crying he just ran to them. Even though he could get beaten up by gigantic scary girl ( Carol ) he ran and attacked. For his luck his kick was successful. Adam was a twin brother for Karina. So she ran into Adam’s hug. Adam comforted her. And took her into the hall where everyone was gathering for a stage theatre which Medicl school and primary school collaborated. Adam was happy and panicked at the same time. He was happy because Katrina was safe. Panicked because Carol might find him. But later he went out for walk. He was not really a sitting person. He could not even stand or sit in the same spot for an hour or half. So he went out and saw Medicals of the school were taking the Carol onto the pram he lost some of his panics. But when he heard a noise and looked back he saw big punch coming at him. As he was not such a fighting guy he could not protect himself or anything from that punch. So he got hit and fell to the floor. And a girl around his age came up to him lying and said, If I ever see you hurting my sister again, next time you will not be able to se the rest of your life. And she went off. The theatre finished, everyone went back home.  And the next day Adam started thinking how he got beaten up by a girl. So he decided to start training. He knew that there was a mixed martial arts ( MMA ) gym by downtown. As he himself lived in a downtown it was no problem to go there. So he went  to the gym and started training. And one day he ran into that girl again. She got angry again and started yelling  at him. Adam was very thoughtful and calm. He just waited till she finished. During her speech the girl used so many insulted words that the human kind possibly could say only half of them at most. After she finished Adam smiled and introduced himself , then he gave her his hand for a hand shake and himself kept explaining the situation happened back at school.
Adam: the situation happened back at school was ou of anger. As you keep getting angry because of your sister getting hit, I got angry because my sister started crying due to the words your sister said, and the memories she reminded to her. So as a brother I did my role. I tried to save her. And fortunately I succeed. And now as a human being I am ready o apologize to you and your sister.
 
The girl was shocked that after so many insults Adam could keep his calm. Then she got rid of her anger and introduced back herself as Mia. Times went by. Adam and Mia have trained together at the MMA gym. They did not get to be close friends. As both of them did not like new people. But they have trained together for 7 months. Until Mia’s sister carol got arrested for sexual harassment and their parents forbade Mia to go out too.
     And after 5 years they were standing at the door looking at each other. At that moment Joshua appeared and broke the silence.
Joshua: Honey who is that? If that’s our mail man Paul invite the game is about to start.
He was walking in the apartment and when he crossed the door he stopped in shock. But Joshua was not type of the guys who gets stuck in shock. So he broke the silence himself.
Joshua: Adam! Man what a big surprise. Come on in why the hell are you standing there.
     With a smile on his face Adam walked in. Even if Joshua did not get in shock, he forgot what to do he was looking and walking around at the apartment without knowing what to do next. But as Adam was calm guy he walked to Joshua and opened his arms for a hug. Joshua got himself back together, and hugged Adam. As they grew up together they were like brothers so they both felt relieved while they were hugging.  Because a piece of his heart was missing because Adam was away. Even Adam was the one in prison Joshua was having harder times even he was free. And he remembered that somewhere he heard saying “ Freedom is the worst prison”.
