The apocalypse

The darkness surrounds me as I take a walk, the moon at it filled t and brightest, wind blowing past me  leaves falling on the ground with no sound, and no one in sight. I was walking on a road that seemed  endless and nowhere to go. All alone, in peace by myself. The of trees in the park that seemed to have lived for ages. It looked lonely and desolate not how I had left it, it used to green and flowers bloomed everywhere, not dead and nothing growing in sight like there was no life,there used to be kids running around. Wishing the next day would just came so they could play outside,weither it was day or night they wanted to play. That used to be me  but everything changed ages ago.

Everything was in chaos. We used to a small little town in the middle of nowhere. Loving our life peacefully. No worries for money or food. Ther weren't many new people but there was generation of history from all different families. Everyone knew each other. But fear broke it all down. From a small, humble town full of so much Ife to this hellhole that it turned into.People where afraid down to their bones. It had turned into the laws of the jungle. Only the strong lived. The weak would die or end up being used as bait. Everyone had a different status around her. Happiness didn't exist anymore in this little town I call my hometown.But  here I was back again with a smile on my face.

This felt like home sweet home to me. I walked through the town remembering all the good memories I once had. I walked till I saw a building in rune. A mansion that used to be the most beautiful. There where flowers blooming her used come from everywhere around the world. There was so much space to run around. And the parties, they where the best. Because we always hosted them. It used to be home but know I'm not sure anymore. I took out my keys and opened the door. As the door cracked open, the smell of dust hit my nose. I moved my finger over the shelf right next to the door where we used to put our shoes, because mom would never let us in. In the sitting room There stood the shelf with all our favourite books. I pushed the door I used to run through trying to get away from my big brother.

There stood all the dresses I had in my closet, that my mother would always fight with me to wear them . All those happy memories were lost in one day. The screams I heard and the terror of each person wanting to die so bad. Still haunts me to this day. Only a few survived that day, a population of one  billion where left worldwide. People died every day and the government fighting for an increase in the population. The experiments to advance the genes of humans. The monsters never disappeared they stayed, like vision that never fade

I was just turning 12  when it all happened, it was the one of  the most  important days in a child's life. The best day out of the whole year. My big day, my bday. That happy day turned into a nightmare. It was supposed to be a day to remember and I'll never forget that nightmare. We where on the park celebrating my birthday. Wearing my paper crown.

We were at the park like usual but I was wearing blue jeans,white t-shirt and a paper crown written "Happy Birthday" on it. I was running around barefoot on the grass. My big brother Michael chasing me around the park. Then an earthquake happen, the ground was shaking and we fell.

After the earthquake everything was normal. Then "boom" was all I heard and green mist was everywhere. I started hearing screams and cracking of bones. The last thing my dad told me was"Alex u have to kill us. It's for the beter. That's an order and tak care." I used the skilled my dad had taught me over the years to slaughter the monsters my family had turned into. Ending their circle of pain, they didn't fight back. I was doing for their better but it's still broke me having to kill them. My dad was in the military but he was also a very known scientists. He knew of the experiments that had been going on. He couldn't stop them cause he was late. There I fell on my knees and cried my hartoutfor the first and last time.After 6 days of killing every monster in sight. I had blood all overmy body, with the smell that was horrible. I had finally reached the house. I ran inside and had a very long shower to get the stench out. I changed into baggy clothes and went outside to see that the most had cleared out. People where coming out of there houses. Only few monsters where left, that where killed minutes later. People assumed just because I walked out of the house, that I had stayed there through the earthquake and the mist rising up. I just went along with the story because I didn't want to get killed or experimented on.  They would have taken me if they found out how I had survived the mist
