Isn't it Crazy how Fast the Night Changes?

Author note: This is my first post here and it is of course a fluff one!

It's 3.1k words and my head hurts a little bit because this is a modified version of what I already had before hand. Hehe I hope you enjoy! ^^

Another peaceful night was rightfully earned after a hardworking day. The soft warm glow, its' gentle haze of golden rays slowly fleeting, as if to quietly announce that night time is official within the timely cycle of its passing, albeit temporary. Yet the winds soft encouraging howls, the waves along Watasumi island dancing blissfully this day with its varying consistencies today was different. Or on the contrary.

Today Is going to be different.

Gentle clinging of dishes and glasses gently sang to accompany the many sounds orchestrating their own melodies, this was being caused due to Miola carrying the cargo within her hands, it wasn't a very huge package but more than enough for two people and guaranteed leftovers.

"Wow, it's already this late? Oh goodness I didn't know work was going to take me that long, my apologies Heizou I should've been more mindful of the time.", Expressing a tender sense of concern it seemed her body reacted accordingly, hence the way her ears ever so slightly pointed downwards along with her tail dropping to the point it was only noticable for him. The brunette had always paid attention to the scenery around him, exploiting the tiniest of details because they were all very important. So waving off the women's worries was in his best interest.

His voice carrying excitement and cheer he'd happily exclaimed, "Aww, don't be like that, besides we have the night, it looks so stunning! Then when the stars begin to shine you'll see what I mean. There are a lot more wonders hidden out and about in the darkest of nights. Things happen for a reason so I believe that we were meant to see the stars together tonight."

"Well, when you put it like that it doesn't seem so bad"

So while they're having this conversation they're reminiscing about the past, having a few laughs, slowly but surely reaching their designated spot.

But Heizou seemed to be out of it a lot more than usual, he seemed to be staring-stealing little glances more than usual at before finding himself lost in thought to the fair maiden beside him, Miola. she was mistaking that to be blank less when his eyes gently reflecting the warm, soft, fondness to be accompanied by even softer smile with every step they take beside each other his

"There it is again.. Heh I can't help but be caught off guard by it every time"

"Hm?" The tall bluenette looked over at him questioningly, wondering what he was talking about.

"Heizou, are you talking about cases again? "

"Oh? Hehe, oh no no no, you got it all wrong, it just seems that I'm giving you a bit of the little ol' Heizou treatment"

"Ah, heh is that why you're staring a bit often?"

Placing the bag within the grass Miola with Heizous assistance set up their picnic, first the covers, then plates and food.

"Well, it's just that... You know that I love protecting people who look like flaming flowers to me, making the world a brighter place... Even if you didn't have that nice beginning, you still chose to change. When people do things that they love or are really passionate about they have that glow about them. It's quite beautiful actually"

He looks up at the sky, slowly tilting his head as a smile comes across his face, a bit more prominent than ever as he snaps his fingers when he places down the next plate before moving onto the first serving of food, assisting her with what was needed, beginning to trail off in thought as he muttered, not noticing that their hands had brushed against one another.
