As I pull into the driveway I wonder what he will say. Will he be happy it's a girl or disappointed. I could tell when I told him I was pregnant that he want a boy. Someone he could fish with.
I dig through my bag and find my keys. I put them in the lock and turn but it's already unlocked. Honey? You home I yell? I walk in the door and see him sitting on the couch. What are you doing home early? I ask. I wanted to be here when you got home. So you could tell me everything about our baby. he said. Then I tell him everything that happened from the wait, to the weird red color on the screen, to how it's a girl. He began to cry. What's wrong I ask? Did you want a boy? No...no... these are tears of joy. I'm just so happy we are going to be parents he said.
We spent the rest of the night thinking of names we liked we got down to three. They were Bailey, Tristan, and Carter. We decided we would wait until we had her to decide the name for her.
