Hi, I'm Gemmie_SG, the author/artist of this short poetic story^^

I'd like to give you, the readers, my thanks for reading this illustrated story! Thank you all FR!

It took me only a few days to finish and plan to do a fixed version of 'Lily Was Happy' ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

This story was actually made just for schoolwork, though I didn't stop there. I made this piece to be more special than just a half-baked output. Though I passed it late, it was worth the time and effort to give this story a more deeper meaning and originality. I tip my hat to my friend who helped with this story, without them I won't be able to complete it with dignity.

I knew that most of the readers are wondering how Lily the baby passed away at some point and that I'll explain it simply for you all.

Lily lived for few months of her life, and passed away due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

If curious for more details as to why that happened:

The story of Lily explains her short life as a baby being raised by a single mother, where they live in a cozy home across the valley of lilies . Thinking deeply, the mother never really had anyone else to support her as she raised Lily. She only knew how to love her as a single parent, but she lacks the knowledge to take care of her newborn properly.

The point of view of the story is what a baby may possibly think as they go on with life. Lily was indeed happy that she got to be treated with love. However, she and her mother had no clue that Lily's life was something more concerning. She may be full of smiles, but never knew how she was actually doing. There were many pointers as to why it possibly caused SIDS to Lily.

(Moreover, of course she went to the hospital to give birth. Logically, she has enough money to live alone and spend on pretty clothes for Lily too.)

The Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is something the parents should be more aware of as it is something to fear that may happen suddenly to infants who are either a few months old and yet to be a year old. It doesn't show any symptoms or signs but it does have possible causes. As it can also happen to even the healthiest newborn, do take care and be responsible!

I may be no Pediatrician as to why I'm focusing on the topic of SIDS, but I am conveying a message to all parents that taking care of a baby is more crucial other than loving them wholeheartedly.

Raise the kids well (╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻

Regarding the story and writing's structure, I know there are flaws and I did what I can. And I apologize for those who are possibly offended and find this story quite a turn off.

You may address your concerns or chat with politely with me if possible.

Other than how I write, I form my stories through life lessons and imaginations that could be relative to what possible situations may happen or had happened.

Just like this story. It may look like Lily had a 'happy ending', however, the story actually delivers more of her tragedy rather than what you expected.

As for the rest of the story background and afterword^^

Here's the story plan:

As for the character sketch and draft storyboard: (Pretty simple huh?^^)

That's all for "Lily Was Happy"!

Also! If you're interested, I'll have my next story project coming soon, which will be a psychological tragedy genre story, entitled "Goodbye, Brother" ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

P.S. Just so you all know, I'm not promoting or even like kids dying.. I'm just into tragedy genres

For the last time, thank you very much for giving your attention to my simple story and I look forward for more. Have a good day!
