Twenty Eight

I walked out of the bedroom then shut the door, so Mingi could sleep in peace. As I went out to the kitchen, I rubbed my eyes and groaned as I got to the main room.

"Maddie, you're on the news!" Seonghwa said and I stopped where I was, going over to them. On the screen, I saw a photo of Ateez as a newscaster spoke.

"-Middle of their interview, a young woman stormed in and went to Ateez member Mingi. It seemed she was familiar with them, as Kim Hong Joong had spoken with the woman. The cameras shut off for a few moments, but when they came back on, the young woman had this to say." The woman said and I felt my eyes widen as I saw a video clip of my freak out yesterday on the interviewer.

"After this incident, Ateez has yet to release a statement, but the company doing the interview had this to say." The woman said and it cut to a clip of a man with the woman from yesterday.

"To say we are sorry would be an understatement. We approve of questions for every interview, have certain things to speak of and topics to cover. The official questions we approved are here, on this sheet." The man said and held up one paper.

"And these are the questions that our interviewer decided to ask Ateez, an unapproved copy." He said and held up a different sheet. Side by side, the approved one was a lot less questions.

"As of this moment, this woman will no longer be working for us, and we offer our deepest apologies to both Ateez and the young woman who exposed our former employee's actions." The man said and bowed his head.

"I deeply apologize, Ateez and miss, for causing trouble and for trying to hurt all of you." The woman said and bowed her head. Then the scene cut back to the newsroom.

"As we said, Ateez has not released anything and many fans are speculating that this mystery woman is rapper Song Min Gi's mystery girlfriend that has avoided the spotlight. It is unclear how long the two have been dating, or how long they've known each other, but this is the only clear image we have of the woman." The newswoman said and a photo of my angry face from the video popped up. As arms wrapped around me and a chin settled on my shoulder, I knew Mingi was awake.

"Hi, sleepyhead!" I smiled at the tv and grabbed Mingi's wrists.

"Why do you look so... mean there?!" Seonghwa said and I laughed.

"I was angry, Seonghwa! You want me to look kind as I'm chewing someone out?!" I asked, but he shrugged and Mingi sighed.

"We should release something, give our explanation." He said and I nodded.

"Maddie should be in it too, so that Atiny meets her." Hongjoong said and they looked at me.

"Is that okay with you?" San asked, but I nodded.

"It's time I made my debut, I suppose." I said and they nodded.

"Hey, aren't those Mingi's pants?" Yeosang asked and I smirked.

"No!" I sang then pulled away from my boyfriend, going to get breakfast.

"You two are so weird!" Yunho called, but Mingi came over and watched me as I made breakfast for us.

"Is it on?" Hongjoong asked and smiled as people immediately began watching the live.

"Hello, Atiny!" San waved and the guys smiled, but I saw Atiny was already questioning my presence. I was in the very center, at the front, so I was hard to miss.

"Hi, guys! We wanted to release something about yesterday!" Hongjoong said in English, but San took over.

"Yesterday, we were doing an interview and, as all of you know, Mingi was having a slight anxiety moment. This amazing person here came to help him, and noticed that woman's questions. I suppose we should introduce her." San said and Hongjoong laughed.

"Hi!" I waved then saw someone commenting on how pretty I was, another saying I looked so nice compared to that video, just a lot of love.

"Maddie?" Seonghwa prompted me and I sighed.

"Hi, everyone! Ah, Atiny, I guess!" I laughed and rubbed my neck, pushing my hair behind my ear.

"My name is Maddie, and yes, I am Mingi's girlfriend-" At that, the comments exploded and I laughed.

"I am sort of seeing the comments, but I think it's mostly saying I'm pretty?" I laughed and leaned forward to read them.

'BOOBS!'

I read a comment and frowned.

"Maddie, your shirt drops really low!" Mingi warned and I snorted.

"You've never complained!" I told him and sat back.

"Maddie!" Mingi whined, but I grinned as the guys showed their disgust.

"Sorry about that, Atiny! Uh, anyway, yesterday! I was somewhere else when Hongjoong called me to say Mingi needed me and yes, I helped calm him down. That's why Hongjoong called me, because I am well versed in calming Mingi down. As I was taking Mingi out, I noticed the questions the woman had and noticed that it was all nothing but questions to hurt Ateez. As I said yesterday, I've been officially hired as the Ateez Mom." I explained and grabbed the ties on my pants, playing with them as I spoke.

"Now, some of you don't know what it means to be a band mom, but that basically means I go with them on tour, make sure they get where they need to be- like a manager without being the manager. This gives their manager the time and ability to focus on actually managing Ateez, and I essentially manage these guys in and outside of work. Being Mingi's girlfriend is just an added bonus to that." I explained and saw a lot of love.

"Why haven't I been on social media with them?" I read one of the questions then shrugged.

"Because this is Ateez, you guys are Atiny, you want to see them and not my plain face-"

"PLAIN?!" The guys yelled and I laughed as they threw so many compliments at me.

"She will now be on the media with us more!" San said and we answered a few questions then ended the live.
