3RD PERSON VIEW:

*Beep* *Beep* The alarm clock beeped as Anne got up to turn it off.
"Ugh what time is it.. SHIT IT'S ALREADY 8 AM".

Anne quickly went to her bathroom to wash her hair. She then changed into her St. James's uniform looked good on her surprisingly since most school uniforms sucked. She fixed her bed before racing downstairs to grab some toast then trying to get to the door in the hopes that her mother wouldn't notice. Before she could even open the door, someone screamed from behind.

"Where do you think you're going Anne!" Mrs. Boonchuy screamed drunkenly.

Anne fearfully turned around to see her inebriated mother approaching her while carrying a bottle of wine. "I-I'm just heading to school mom I promise I'm not-" Anne was cut off by her mother yelling " YOU SPOILED BRAT, LYING TO ME AGAIN JUST TO DO GOD KNOWS WHAT! YOU'RE JUST GONNA LEAVE LIKE LUZ AREN'T YOU!?! "

"Mom! I'm not going to leave, I'm just going to school, please listen to me." Anne was fumbling as she talked and was shaking nervously. Anne went quiet as her mother went closer to Anne then proceeded to slap Anne. Anne fell down due to the impact, she winced in pain as the red mark was left on her skin.

"That's what disobedient children for lying their parents." Mrs. Boonchuy said as she crouched down to get closer to Anne. She slapped Anne again but this time even harder than the last time.

"Mom, I'm sorry." Anne said as tears fell down her cheeks.

Mrs. Boonchuy didn't respond and slowly walked up to the kitchen to get more wine.

Anne hurriedly stood up and ran out of the house sobbing.

It wasn't always like this.

-FLASHBACK-

Annes POV:

I can hear yelling from the kitchen as I am trying to do my fucking math homework.

"Luz! How many times have I told you to behave and not cause any trouble?" Mom said.

"Mama, I didn't mean to. I just wanted to finish my project but the snakes got out of their cages." Luz tried to explain. I felt bad for Luz. She is a good kid but she was kinda you know... Chaotic. I know she doesn't mean to cause any trouble but she ends up doing so anyway.

She got bullied a lot, I'm guessing that doing all that crazy stuff is her way of coping.

I walked out of my chair and placed my ears on my room door to hear better.

"Who in the world would use snakes for their drama class!" Mom yelled.

Luz stayed quiet. I heard more yelling from mom so I went back to my chair and popped my headphones on.

After 10 minutes I could hear Luz crying, I was worried mom had done something to her. I carefully sneaked downstairs only for me to see mom getting luz bags and placing them into this camp bus. Luz cried, "Mom, I really don't want to go to camp. Everyone hates me at school, and camp will be even worse. Everyone there is going to despise me."

"I don't care, you should've thought about that before you got expelled from your school!" Mom yelled.

The camp workers got out of the car and forcefully grabbed Luz and put her in the bus. I wanted to say something, I wanted to do something.. But nothing came out of me. Typical of me, too much of a coward to do anything.

The bus left with luz.

*Time skip 3 months later*

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN LUZ WASN'T AT CAMP!" I could hear mom yelling at her phone.
