Recently, my mom decided that I go visit my father for the summer. he lives all the way in Idaho City and from what I've heard, he is extremely weird. he abandoned us when I was seven. what I know it that he doesn't listen to music at all, he lives in the middle of nowhere, and he likes to collect things.
As I grimace and implore relentlessly, my mom packed my favorite ripped jeans and my Labyrinth shirt. she didn't render me a choice at all.
"It's an injustice," I say and she gives a smirk.
She shuts the trunk and opens the passenger door, gesturing for me to get in. I glared at her and got in. I sat in silence with melancholy thoughts going through my head. after about an hour, I got out my iPod and put in my headphones. As the song Hold on till may came on by Pierce the veil, I noticed a young boy and his mother staring at us as we drove by. I guess they don't see many new visitors.
Five minutes later, we started pulling up to a log cabin up on a hill.
I'm gonna die, I thought.
