(12) He Loves Me? He Loves Me Not.

Sven charges down the mountain with Kristoff and the two sisters on his back. Olaf slides along beside them, penguin-style. Y/n shivers in Kristoffs arms. Y/n looking visibly worse than Anna, who is behind Kristoff. Kristoff takes off his hat and puts it on her head.

"Just hang in there. Come on, buddy, faster!" Kristoff urges Sven.

They arrive near the villages of Arendelle. Olaf slides past them, out of control.

"Oh, boy! Whoa! I'll meet you guys at the castle!" Olaf yells.

"Stay out of sight, Olaf!" Kristoff orders Olaf.

"I will!"

He disappears into the village streets.

"Hello!"

"Ah! It's alive!"

Guards see Kristoff, Y/n, and Anna approaching.

"It's the Princesses!" One of the Guards announces.

Sven skids to a stop outside the gates.

"Do you need any help?" Kristoff asks Anna.

"No thanks, I'm fine." Anna responds.

Kristoff slides off, holding Y/n, and carries her to the gate.

"I've got you." Kristoff reassures Y/n.

Y/n looks up at him, gratefully. Anna trails behind.

"Are you g-gonna be okay?" Y/n asks, worried.

"Don't worry about me." Kristoff says, thankful that she cares.

Just then the castle gates open. Gerda, Kai, and a handmaid rush to help Y/n and Anna.

"Girls! Oh, you had us worried sick." Gerda tells them.

"My Lady. You are freezing." Kai says, worried.

"Get her warm and find Prince Hans, immediately." Kristoff tells them.

"We will. Thank you." Kai says, grateful.

Y/n is swept away from Kristoff and into the palace grounds with Anna.

"Make sure she's safe!" Kristoff says.

"Oh you poor girls, you're freezing."

"Let's get you inside." The handmaid starts walking her inside.

Y/n looks back at Kristoff just before she leaves. Kristoff is shut out as the castle gates close on him. Kristoff stands there with Sven for a beat, staring with worry at the closed gates. Finally, he sighs, turns and walks away. Sven reluctantly follows.

Hans stands with the dignitaries and guards.

"I'm going back out to look for the Princesses." Hans informs them.

"You cannot risk going out there again." The French dignitary tells him.

"If anything happens to them-" Hans starts but gets interrupted.

"If anything happens to the Princesses, you are all Arendelle has left." The Spanish dignitary informs Hans.

Hans hesitates, realizing how much this kingdom has come to depend on him. Is he really all they have left? Just then the door opens and Gerda and Kai bring in the Princesses.

"He's in here. Prince Hans." Kai calls.

"Anna!"

Hans rushes to Anna and she falls into his arms. Y/n watches from Kai's embrace, who is trying to keep her warm.
