The days have passed, Taylor and Bertie have carried on with their lives as per usual as if nothing had occurred between them. They still frequently meet on campus and chat as usual, deciding to act normally and put aside what had transpired between them. Bertie is currently occupied with assignments from the lecturer, while Taylor is spending time with her family, particularly her youngest sister, Emily.

After a month had passed, Taylor seemed to have started feeling unwell, was frequently nauseous, and had a sore throat. She also vomited often, particularly in the morning after waking up. Taylor is feeling very anxious and distressed about the situation she is currently facing. She is worried about the possibility of becoming pregnant and is not prepared to take on the role of a mother. She also considered how her family would react if they discovered she was pregnant out of wedlock, particularly the responses of those around her and nosy neighbours who were keen to know all the details about her and her family. To confirm whether she was truly pregnant, she needed to inform Bertie first and accompany her for a pregnancy test.

" This can't be left, I don't want to go through this all alone if I have one life in my womb, I have to tell Bertie about this! " Taylor said to herself, she was currently in the bathroom located in her room. Currently she is alone and everyone is doing activities outside the house including Emily and Taylor's stepmum, Samantha.

Taylor emerged from the loo and picked up the mobile she had left on the table, she searched for Bertie's number and got in touch with the bloke. Bertie answered Taylor's call.

" Hello Taylor, how are you? " Bertie inquired.

" Bertie, we need to meet now because we have important matters to discuss, " Taylor said with a resolute heart.

" Alright, where do we meet? " Bertie enquired.

" We meet at the usual spot, " Taylor replied.

" Alright, I'll be there in 30 minutes, " Bertie replied.

" Okay, I'm waiting, cheerio, " Taylor ended her conversation with Bertie and quickly got ready, dressing as she was.

Taylor had arrived at the place they had agreed to meet, she was seen sitting on a bench waiting for Bertie to arrive. She daydreamed thinking about her current situation, hoping that what she had been concerned about all this time wouldn't happen to her. She couldn't imagine if she actually became a mother, how she will raise her child alone and she is also afraid that her family will not accept her and the child she is carrying if she is really pregnant. All of this is so suffocating, Taylor has to find a solution. Not long after that Bertie arrived, he approached Taylor who was lost in thought.

" Hi Taylor, have you been waiting for me for long? " Bertie greeted Taylor.

" Hi, not long. I just arrived too, " Taylor said. Bertie was seen sitting next to Taylor.

" You said there was something important to talk about? About what? " Bertie asked while gazing at Taylor's lovely face. Taylor was anxious to share with Bertie what she was currently going through, she was worried that Bertie might not be willing to take responsibility if she did become pregnant but if she didn't, she would be extremely grateful. However, she couldn't relax just yet, she needed to muster up the courage to tell Bertie.

" Bertie, I think...I think I'm pregnant, " Taylor said, meanwhile Bertie's face went pale at Taylor's words.

" Are you serious? " Bertie asked, wanting certainty.

" I don't know, I'm feeling a bit confused at the moment. Lately, my body has been going through some changes, and I've been experiencing frequent nausea and vomiting in the mornings. The symptoms are similar to those of pregnancy. I'm really scared! " Taylor confided in Bertie about everything she was experiencing.

" Have you taken a pregnancy test or seen a doctor straight away? " Bertie asked. Taylor didn't answer, she just shook her head.

" Then come with me, we'll go to the chemist to buy a pregnancy test, " Bertie said, without wasting any time they hurried off to Bertie's car which was parked in the car park.

After arriving, they hurried into the chemist's, where they were greeted by a female employee named Hannah. Taylor and Bertie quickly searched for the items they needed but couldn't find them. In fact, they had never seen a pregnancy test before - how innocent!

" Excuse me, what are you two looking for here? " Hannah asked, looking at them as if they were looking for something.

" Is there a pregnancy test available for purchase here? " Taylor inquired, although she felt a bit embarrassed to ask about it.

" Oh, the pregnancy test is at the front counter, " Hannah said as she went to the counter followed by Taylor and Bertie. The girl showed them some pregnancy tests which were placed on the counter along with the prices as well.

" How much do you want to purchase? " asked Hannah again.

" Give me two pregnancy tests, " Taylor answered. Hannah immediately calculated the price of the two pregnancy tests with the price checker.

" £17.50, " Hannah mentioned the price. Taylor wanted to get the money out of her purse but Bertie stopped her.

" Save your money, let me pay for it, " Bertie said as he handed Hannah the £17.50. Hannah took the money.

" Cheers, " Taylor thanked Bertie as well as Hannah.

" No worries, " Hannah replied with a smile.

After taking the pregnancy tests, Taylor and Bertie rushed out of the chemist. But they weren't quite home yet, they were just standing in front of the chemist's door while Taylor looked into Bertie's face.

" Let's pop to the loo and give the pregnancy test a go, " Bertie said to Taylor.

" Alright, " Taylor replied with a single word.

" Don't worry, no matter what happens, I'll still be by your side, " Bertie said so earnestly to Taylor that Taylor blushed a little to hear.

" Now let's go, it's dangerous to be seen by people, " Bertie said again, without wasting any time they quickly left. Meanwhile, Jake, Taylor's elder brother, appeared and entered the chemist. They were unaware of each other even though they passed by. Fortunately, they didn't notice each other, otherwise it would have been a problem for Taylor and Bertie.

" Hi darling! " Jake walked into the chemist and greeted a girl who was working, the girl turned out to be Hannah.

" Hey love, what brings you here? " Hannah asked Jake, not expecting the guy to come see her at work.

" I want to take you to lunch together, are you still busy? " Jake asked.

" No, where do you want to take me for lunch? " Hannah asked.

" It's up to you, you choose the place and I'll treat you, " Jake replied.

" Alright, " Hannah replied as she grabbed her handbag, then she walked out of the chemist counter.

Meanwhile, Bertie was seen standing outside the ladies' toilet, waiting for Taylor who was taking a pregnancy test inside. After a few minutes, Taylor emerged from the toilet and approached Bertie. She showed him two double-lined sticks from the pregnancy test, indicating that she was pregnant.

" I'm pregnant! " Taylor said with a bit of trepidation and lack of enthusiasm, she is really worried now and very scared. She didn't know what to do now. Bertie stared at the pregnancy test with a look of disbelief and shock, he was also worried about all of this. It was like a dream to find out that Taylor was pregnant with his child and he was going to be a father at a young age.
