Personality Carie is a kind teenager. Due to reasons we all know concerning hormones, he does have mood swings, but it's more likely he'll cry rather than get angry. He cares a lot about his garden and his friends, and will do whatever to make sure they stay safe and healthy, mostly with his bravery.
Carie's MBTI is an INFP.

Carie had a rather rough childhood. He was taught to never ask questions and do as he was told. His mother was never happy with what he did, and his dad? He never cared. This began after his brother, David, had died due to scarlet fever when Carie was 4. The abuse got worse as Carie grew up. He had good test scores, but his mother was never pleased. She just yelled stuff like "David would have done better than you".
Some years later, when Carie turned 12, he heard about a mountain. Mount Ebbot. Some kids were singing a rhyme about it at a park. At this point, his mother was practically beating him. He didn't want to suffer anymore. Carie took a long think about if he should climb Mount Ebbot, and after a few days, he decided yes. On the night he ran away, his mother had gone to work, and his father was asleep.
Carie packed a bag of things he held dear to him. A plushie of a rabbit, a pair of gardening gloves, a watering can and a small plant pot of daisies. When he jumped out the window, he looked at his garden. That was the last time he was gonna see it. Carie wept and ran to the mountain, climbing it. When he got to the top, he stared down at the entrance. One he went, there was no going back. But, what good was there going back?
Carie jumped. Unfortunately, he jumped too far and head first. Onto the rocks. He died due to the impact of it. Flowey, being the one to find the body, thought that his soul would be useless, seeing as though it was broken. Or at least, that's what he thought. Yes, Carie's soul had broken in half, yet it managed to persist somehow. He was dead, but could still be helped.
But, nobody came. Eventually, his body was taken by the ground, and just stayed 6 feet underground the underground. Toriel never found him. Flowey didn't forget about him, but he never thought much of it. None of the fallen humans found him. Carie, if he survived that fall, would have been the second-to-last human needed to break the barrier. There was supposed to be not 8, but 9 fallen humans (counting Chara).
4 years, he was stuck underground, left to rot. The vines and daisies overtook his body from the plant pot. When Frisk broke the barrier and set all the monsters free, they realised not all monsters were free. There was Flowey. Frisk went to get Flowey with the help of Papyrus and Toriel. As they were digging Flowey out, the small shovel hit something. Flowey said it was probably just a vine, but there was something odd about it. Papyrus kept digging around it, and Carie was found. Worried, Toriel grabbed the child and Frisk held onto Flowey. While the three went back home.
Carie was healed and brought back to consciousness, although the daisies that had grown around his eyes and head were a problem. They blinded his eyes with dirt and vines, causing them to not be movable despite possible being able to have surgery. The daisies stayed.
Eventually, because he was going to be 18 in two years, he was adopted by Asgore and Toriel. So, he was siblings with Asriel and Frisk. He did meet Shala and Sweun on a walk in the woods. They were going to meet up with someone for a truce when Carie walked past, watching from a distance.
He was found out, but not killed. Instead, they explained how they were trying to help everyone be safe from evil. They never specified what evil however. Carie, shocked, wanted to help. And they let him help. They would all meet in this forest at the same spot every Saturday evening and talk about what to do and how it would work. This is how Carie discovered the multiverse.
In the end, he became a member of the group and began helping them in investigations for anything. And he had to keep this a secret from his family.

Head-cannons He never did find his rabbit plushie. Him and Flowey got along quite well. Carie thinks of Shala as his mother, but won't tell anyone. He constantly tries not to cry, because he's afraid the tears will just make the daisies grow more.
Extra info Carie's original name was going to be Kayden. The flowers of choice were supposed to be Lily of the Valley, but it was changed because daisies made more sense.
