Friday
Well today is the Masquerade Ball and I'm really excited. Yeah I don't have a date but, no one will know who's who.
"Mackenzie." Mel said in a sweet innocent voice.
"Yeah, what worng?"
"I may have set up a sleepover in your dorm and invited the boys without May's permission." She said
Oh My Fuck. "When?" I asked trying not to yell at her.
"Tomorrow."
Well I'm so fuck'in screwed."ok"
Later today
Mel:"Well time to get ready. Kenzie your nails look horrible. But don't worry I'll work my magic."
Melissa has always had a thing for cuticle care.
2 hours later
We're done with everything and heading to the ball.
When we got there it was beautiful. It was gold everywhere.
I was wearing a silver and black mask while Mel was wearing a gold and black mask. There were so many people there with masks on. It was kind of creepy, but you get used to it...eventually.
Then out of nowhere two guys came up and asked us to dance and we accepted. That's how I lost Melissa.
5 dances later
The ball is almost over and I still can't find Mel.
Random lady on stage:"ok everyone this is the last dance of the night."
Just then some guy with mesmerizing brown eyes came up to me. I could just stare at them all day.
Guy:"May I have this dance?"
Should I say no. My feet are killing me. You know what screw it!
"Sure."
When I took his hand I felt butterflies in my stomach. I never felt like this with anyone but Jason. He's a douche now so yeah.
"You know your a pretty good dancer." Mystery guy said
"Thanks." I said trying not to show my blush.
His sent was so intoxicating.
We were almost through the end of the song when...
