This morning I texted him that I was cooking his favourite dishes for dinner.
And I waited for him on the dinner table from the past 2 hours, almost falling asleep.
It's almost 12am.
Looking at the food that I specifically prepared for him, my heart saddened.
It had gone cold by now.
The I had to change the candles three times by now.
I still waited for him.
Right then the doorbell rang, and without wasting a another second I ran to open the door.
A smile lifted my lips after seeing him, who also greeted me with a warm smily.
"Did you had your meal? I-"
He nodded.
My smile slowly faded.
He told that he had dinner long ago.
"Oh..." was all I could let out.
He asked me if I ate yet.
I covered up my expression quicky replacing it with a smile and nodded.
I lied.
As much as disappointing it was, I couldn't force him on anything.
It's normal. It's not his fault. He must've forgotten.
I'm overreacting a bit I guess.
Before getting married to him, nobody even cared if I had my meals or not.
But he does. He cares. So I have no right to be angry with him with such small reasons.
Maybe he didn't saw my texts.
