Author POV
In a simple house that was in the middle of a forest, there lived a boy named Red, with his father, his father made a living making medicine, and unfortunately his mother was in a separate house a little far away due to her contracting an illness recently, we see the boy who had a young and cute appearance, he looked to be about 10 years old, but in fact, he was 18, unfortunately his genetics didn't favor him and he didn't grow much, which unfortunately caused him to be made fun of by people his age in the village, that was one of the reasons he and his father moved to the forest.
Red: Dad, you haven't finished this yet?
Said the boy sitting on a chair in the kitchen, while he saw his father preparing medicine and cooking too.
Father: Soon son, I know you're worried about your mother, but don't worry, with this here, she'll get better in the blink of an eye.
Said the father as he wrapped a porcelain jar in a cloth and put it in a picnic basket, then he took several cookies, a pie and two truffles that he had cooked before and put these candies inside the basket too.
Father: Here son, take this basket and take it to your mother, I made her favorite sweets so she can eat with the medicine.
Red: Got it dad *takes basket* I'm going bye *starts heading towards the door*
Father: And take the main road, don't take the shortcut deep in the forest, got it?
Red: But Dad, if I go through the woods I can get to Mom's house in half the time.
Father: Listen to me son, I've heard recent rumors that there's a wolf in that forest
Red: And the hunters haven't sorted it out yet?
Father: Unfortunately not, so go down the road and be safe.
Red: Got it dad *goes to his room*
Once Red enters his room, he grabs a cape with a red hood and grabs two brass knuckles he had under his bed.
