When I walked in the room I was a little confused. Our teacher, Ms. Ritz, was very pale and her eyes were blood shot. We had gotten a free day (no work) because of our concert the night before. We pretty much played on our phones the whole hour. By "we" I meant my friends, consisting of Cole, a semi-strong, semi-tall kid one year older than me. Logan, a kid whom's mind is a discovery on its own but on the outside is very smart. Corinne, a girl whom is as smart as me (I'm pretty gosh darn smart). Charles, the friend that will always make you laugh and is also pretty much as smart as me. Evan, the goofy kid that is always there to help you. Stephanie, the fastest girl in the whole school. And of course, Alex. Around half way through class, un glueing our attention from our phones, we heard a scream. Ms. Ritz had passed out on the floor. An ambulance was called and I asked the driver why it was so important. He said "There is a massive outbreak of a disease from a new species of bugs that are micro sized and if you breath them in, you are infected. The ambulance rushed away and I stood there dazed.
After school, all of my friends came over to the apartment to party!!! We were all asleep when I heard the TV flicker on. It was just Alex. All of us were awake now. Thanks Alex. We all sat on the couch and other seats that we had out. On TV, we were watching some cartoons when the news channel interrupted us. "Breaking news from downtown Pitsburgh! New micro virus has infected the whole town. 57 reported dead and---". The Channel went blank and outside we could see an explosion the size of a building! We attempted to leave the apartment when someone with dark blood shot eyes charged at us with such heavy force, I tumbled down the stairs. My friends soon followed me out of the building to see the town in chaos.
Everything was either burning or broken. We saw a large group of people were in a oddly bunched up formation. Slowly walking toward a cowering family. And then the unthinkable happened. They ate them! The grouped people tore threw the family in a very gory, scary way. There were oddly distinct features separating the large bunch of people from us. The other people were all pale, had bloodshot eyes, and only walked slowly. In fear, we all ran to my pick-up truck. I drove while Alex and Logan sat in front, the others sat in the back. We drove out of the county to Missouri. After turning on the radio, we feared to go back because the radio said that the virus had infected all of Kansas and parts of Oklahoma and Colorado. We were starting to panic and stopped at a local Walmart. Combined, we had a total of around $4,000. Which was enough for 2 1911 pistols, 2 silencers, a hunting rifle, a crossbow, a years supply of SPAM, and a years supply of water.
When we exited Walmart, we decided to barricade a nearby abandoned factory. We then setup shop. With a sniping area and we made our own rooms. Alex and I went outside because he had something to tell me. "Jaison, I know who you really are and why your mother gave you up." I started getting angry and I could feel it. "What would you know!" I screamed angrily. "You have no idea who I am and you have no business either!". I looked at him in the most terrible way. He stood the and calmly said "Yes, I do." "Because I'm your brother." He said suddenly . I stood there in frustration. "I was sent here to protect you from the harsh outside world." He said. "And now, with all this, we need to help each other." He said. "I need to get you to mom" "She is staying in California". "Where in California?" I asked him. "In--". The next thing I knew, Alex's shirt was soaked with blood and he collapsed. There was a man behind him with a gun pointed straight at me. "Drop you weapon!" Logan said with a gun loaded and pointed at the man. "Shut the hell up he said". While he was distracted with Logan, I swiftly pulled out my silenced 1911 pistol and shot his arm. With a grunt of pain, the man dropped his gun and fell over. I stood over Alex, who was bleeding very badly. He said with a little faint whisper, "Sacremento." He slowly fell over and he wasn't breathing. In a furious manor, I slowly walked over to the man, whom was still bleeding. He looked up at me and said "mercy, please". I the pointed my gun at his other arm and shot it, I then shot both of his legs. I drove his live body around 30 miles from our base. I dropped his still live but limp body on the ground, unscrewed the silencer off my gun, shot one bullet in the air, and drove away.
