"This is it," I pointed out, as we came to the end of our short walk.
"This is where you live?"
"Yes."
"It's really nice."
"I assume it is, but it's just a home unit. I share it with other people, but I don't usually talk to them," I replied, grabbing my scanner card out of my bag to unlock the door to my unit.
"And why's that?" I paused, holding the card in my hand for a moment, just looking at it.
"I...I um..."
"Here let me help you with that." Ryder reached out from behind me and took hold of my hand, guiding it toward the lock pad on my door, finally unlocking it with the card in my hand. "There."
"Thanks."
"Don't mention it, Fae," he breathed.
I lead him inside, the lights in the hall automatically turning on to brighten the way. As we settled in at my kitchen, I started taking out my work book from the academy.
"So, shall we start the project?"
"Fae," I heard him breath again. This time I could feel him behind me, his chest lightly pressed against my back. I let out a sudden sigh. "Leave the work for later."
"But the project-"
"Forget the project, I have something better to work on."
"Ryder, it's due next week."
"Well, this will only take one night." I was confused. What did he mean?
"Want to learn a new lesson, Fae?" I felt his hands slide up and down my shoulders, turning on a new feeling beneath my skin. A tingling sensation, like an electric shock.
"What kind of lesson?"
"An anatomy lesson. Fae, do you know your own body?"
"I think so."
"Do you know how it reacts to stimulation?" I thought about his question. Stimulation. I knew the meaning of the word, but never had experienced it. Until now.
"No....I don't know."
"Then I'll teach you."
