The house is empty only the clock ticking and the rats scurrying to get to their shelter. Hours went by. By then it was late. Before I fell asleep my eyes closing drowsily the door opened! It was Eda, King and Luz. They walked in dirty and tired from what I can only assume was another adventure. Again, again, again, they always leave me here. Alone. I turned away and rolled my eyes but managed to look back and put on an overjoyed, happy expression. "Hello how was-" I started to say "not now hooty" Luz said. then continued to talk about their evening. Even though they were with me again I felt even more lonely. If only they knew how I felt, maybe they wouldn't treat me like such an annoyance. Luz went to go shower while everyone else went to bed. The next morning they walked out of their bedrooms. It looked as though they were
making some breakfast. Once they finished Luz put her school uniform on and walked out the door. It was just Eda and king now. They were going to stop by the market and get some apple blood while the weather was still nice. It was scheduled to rain later today. Eda grabbed King and shut the door as they walked out. I slithered around the house looking around for things to do. While looking around I spotted some coins on the couch and a couple flies buzzing around mindlessly. I snaked around as my feathers brushed the corners of the house as I turned, stopping at Eda's door. Cracking the door open just enough to fit through and checking around for something to distract my mind during the long empty hours in the house. nothing interested me so I left creaking the door closed. I went to the bathroom to freshen up my face. And as the tap ran and I dried my face with a towel I let my thoughts run. But before I could finish my thoughts I saw it. my eyes widened. Luz had left it. She left it. The key to the portal. on the bathroom floor.
