WHOEVER SAID NAMES REFLECT THE CHARACTER HAD NEVER MET ROSE. All thorn and no petals, not one person knew how a fairy — supposedly delicate and fragile — could be as rough as her. She was a paradox. She was not fragile like a rose, nor did she have earth magic to control her namesake power. She ruled the air, ruthlessly and without care.
The uncertainty around her only grew once she saved Bella before her first year. Sweet, calm, and a pleasure to be around, dear Bella was in all ways the complete opposite of Rose. But Rose saved her life anyways, and earned herself a permanent seat at Alfea. Some say that was her real goal. That she never cared about the chirpy fairy who followed her around everywhere. Others say she only did it because her mother was watching. Not one person thinks to ask her the truth. None but Riven.
And as annoying as Rose finds it, he seems pretty determined.
