" 𝘞𝘩𝘰'𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴?"

I jumped as I heard Jack's voice, realizing he was standing right behind me, staring at Shaun with a confused look.
I panicked a little, afraid Shaun would notice him. But then I remembered- only I can see him. I quickly forced myself to calm down, trying to stay composed. I had to end the conversation with Shaun before anything could go further.
"I'm so glad I was able to catch you, Shaun," I said with a fake yawn, trying to sound as sleepy as possible. "I'll try to head back to bed before going to work tonight. Only knock on my door if there's a fire, alright?"
Shaun grinned his usual goofy grin. "Oh, that's fine, Vivi. Take all the rest you need. I'm just dropping this stuff off anyway." He winked. "I'll see you later, Vivi bear." With that, he turned and sauntered back to his old room, looking as carefree as ever.
"Vivi bear?" Jack's voice was laced with confusion. I glanced at him, catching the look on his face. It was a mix of curiosity and something I couldn't quite place.
I reached for his hand without thinking, gently pulling him toward my bedroom. "Come on," I murmured, dragging him inside and quickly locking the door behind us. The click of the lock felt final, like a line had been drawn, even though I wasn't sure where the conversation would go from here.
I instantly felt guilty for ignoring him, the weight of it pressing down on me. I was about to apologize, but before I could, Jack's warm lips pressed against mine, and my mind went completely blank. The kiss felt like it lasted forever, deep and consuming, until we were jolted back to reality by the sound of the front door opening and slamming shut.
"That's probably Shaun," I mumbled, my mind still hazy from the kiss. "I'll check if he left." As I started to walk toward the door, Jack's hand shot out, stopping me gently.
"I assure you, he's gone, sunshine," Jack said, his voice steady.
I hesitated, then turned back to him. "I'm sorry, Jack, about what just happened. I didn't mean to ignore you," I said, guilt creeping into my voice.
Jack gave me a soft beaming smile, brushing it off with a quiet chuckle. "It's alright, Sunshine. I understand!"
I quickly added, "He's just visiting for a bit, until he finishes his work."
"That's completely alright," Jack murmured, his voice dropping to a whisper. "You are so kind, my beautiful Sunshine."
The words sent a rush of warmth through me, making my cheeks flush deep red. My thoughts wandered back to last night when he'd called me beautiful while we were wrapped in each other. The memory lingered in my mind, stirring something deep inside.
He seemed to know exactly what I was thinking as he lifted me into his arms and pressed a gentle kiss to my forehead. He laid me down on the bed, his body covering mine, instantly making me feel warm and safe.
"I crave you so much, my sunshine," he murmured against my lips, his body pressed against me, sending my heart racing and my cheeks flushing hotter with every passing moment.
"Please, Jack-..." I gasped as I felt his lips travel to my neck, kissing and teasing a sensitive spot that made me shiver. He laughed softly at my reaction, continuing his kisses as he moved lower, slowly reaching my breasts.
He began to unbutton my pajama shirt, whispering, "Tell me to stop, tell me not to take you right here and claim you as mine, making you moan my name..."I gazed at him, my eyes hazy with desire. He looked up at me from my chest, his cheeks flushed and breathing heavy. With him bare-chested before me, all I could think about was being wrapped in his arms.
