Get Ready

"Alice, get up. Don't make me walk back in here." My mother calls out.

I'll never understand why we need to wake up so early for school, especially since I'm in college it just seems useless to me.  Anyway my name is Alice Hilton. I'm 19 years old, my parents aren't around much, due to them working or just them shutting me out and playing on their phones constantly . They are off in their own worlds, which I don't blame them this world kind of sucks ass so if I had the chance I would want to be in my own world as well.

I know I look different, both of my parents have lighter hair while my natural hair is dark. I'm like a black sheep of the family I don't fit in at all. I love the color blue, my eyes are grey.

I have only really had one boyfriend my whole life and that didn't even count, he was more of a best friend considering this was in elementary school. No one really likes me, everyone kind of sees me as an outcast at school. So you can see why I don't have a boyfriend on that part. That and there's just really no time, I want to keep my head down and my grades up, you feel me?

Anyway I was finishing getting dressed. Once that was done I put a little bit of mascara and eyeliner then put on some lipstick. I grabbed my bag and walked to school. "Great, another day in hell until I graduate and leave." I thought to myself. At least it's just college, right?

---AT SCHOOL---

"Hey loser where do you think you're going?" Courtney asked while slapping her gum in her mouth.

I ignored her which seemed to piss her off even more. She grabed my hair and pulled me inside the bathroom, let me just tell you it hurts like hell. she trapped me in one of the stalls whilst gripping my neck and slamming my head into the wall, "So are you gonna keep ignoring me then?" She hissed.

I got up kicking her leg -just so it wouldn't get me into as much trouble if she decided to tell on me- falling to the ground with a slight thud. I put my head down so my mouth was next to her ear, and whispered, "Maybe you'll just leave me alone next time."

She looked at me with a twisted smirk leaving the bathroom. I got up and made my way outside only to see the professor standing there, "Why did you attack poor Courtney?" She asked agitatedly. I just stood there with a straight face. "I knew she would pull some stupid stunt like this."

"Well Ms. Sanchez, if you are going to accuse me before you hear my side of the story then you can kiss my ass." I said. All that could be heard were gasps from around us. I grabbed my backpack, then walked to my favorite place, the skatepark. There's really no need to be there if she was already going to make my day a nightmare. It's odd she usually starts at lunch.

I got there to my surprise it wasn't as packed as I thought it was going to be. But then again it was a Tuesday and pretty early in the morning. There were only 4 people there. After people-watching for a bit I decided to just sit down and relax.

I saw the 4 people come over so I got ready to talk to them. The short one started talking. "Hi, I'm Vic this is Mike, Tony, and Jaime we were wondering if you could show us how to get to this address?"

I stood there totally freaking out in the inside. "Hi I'm Alice and you're my favorite band. Yeah that's actually- wait that's my address." I said feeling a little confused at the end. Realization hit me, I forgot I entered a contest to tour with them and Sleeping With Sirens for the summer! I must have missed that email.

Mike was the next to talk "So you're not gonna go crazy and scream right?" He asked with slight hesitation. I giggled shaking my head, "No I am totally chill, but that's my address. I can take you there if you don't believe me." I stated. I saw a look of relief wash over their faces which made me smile in return knowing they felt comfortable.

"Excuse me?" I heard a soft voice call. I stopped then turned around to find Tony coming over to me.
"Um...I know this may seem strange...but may I ask what your last name is?" He asked. I twiddle my thumbs. "It's Hilton, why?"

He looked at me "well Ms. Alice you just confirmed that you're the winner of our contest. " Tony said smiling wide. I smile happily and look down excited.

"This is going to be the best couple months ever." I said to him. "How interesting this day has become, now to convince mom and dad to let me go with them."
