Zoey's POV:
Lia would not stop rambling on about getting Jake's number while we were walking to school. I told her that she has NO chance to date him because he likes Daisy, but apparently she already knew that. I don't know why she's still attracted to him. So, I asked her.
"Because I can get close to Daisy had find out if she likes him or not." Lia answered.
"What if she does like him?" I asked. "Although, you are being a girlboss by doing that."
Lia smiled proudly, but her smile faded to shock. "You know...I don't think Jake's ever going to like me, Zoey..." She whispered, pointing at the flower beds or whatever. I was really confused, so I looked where she was pointing. Guess what I saw? Drew, my boyfriend, giving FLOWERS to Jake, my own BROTHER. My heart snapped in half. I would've thought that it was, like, a celebration, but no. Drew was blushing! He was cheating on me, with my own brother! I stormed over to Drew. Lia ran behind me. "Just what the hell are you doing, Drew!?" I yelled. Both Jake and Drew jumped.
"What?" Drew asked. "What'd I do?"
"What, you think I didn't see you give those flowers to him!?" I glared at Jake.
"Zoey, why do you think I did that?"
"Oh, because there's no other reason for you to just give him flowers right out of the blue!"
"I had a reason, that's definitely not what you're thinking."
"And what's that?! You wanted to cheat on me!?"
"Zoey, no-"
"Who are you to talk?" Jake interuppted. Drew looked at him surprise. If he says it, I swear to fucking God... I thought, trying to look confused. "You've been cheating on Drew since, what, 3 months ago?"
"W-what!?" I stammered. Lia covered her mouth, but she didn't seem shocked. "I'm not cheating on Drew!"
"Who..?  I heard Drew whisper.
"I saw you!" Jake yelled, pulling out his phone.
"Why would- Why would you edit a photo!?"
"I didn't." Jake started scrolling through his phone. "When I saw you and that guy, I took a photo of it in case you were being a dick to me, so I could use it against you. I figured you would try to lie about it, so..." A sly grin was plastered on his face. His teeth were showing, but I was gritting mine.
"How could you accuse me of that!?" I screamed, completely ignoring the school bell that rung a moment before. Jake raised his eyebrows for a second, meaning he found the picture. I felt my stomach turn in all sorts of directions as Jake showed Drew the photo! To my surprise, Drew seemed...fine? Aside from his eyes slowly widening, he looked perfectly fine... Jake looked just as confused as I was.
"I figured you were cheating, but..." Drew said, turning to look into my eyes. He looked disgusted now. "With an old man...?"
I noticed Lia shiver from the corner of my eye. "No!" I quickly exclaimed. "That's edited, I swear!"
"How am I supposed to know that?" Drew's voice was calm, but still had the angry tone. Basically, he wasn't yelling. "I have no idea where you go off to after I give you money!"
I stammered trying to think of a response. Drew took that as I was cheating. While it was true, I didn't want him to know that!
"Either way, we'd be broken up, Zoey." Drew stated.
I stayed quiet. I knew exactly why. He was gay, and I was cheating. Hell, we both were cheating! For some reason, that still hurt a lot. Well, Drew was flat-out cheating on me, so...
"But, I wasn't giving Jake the flowers because 'I'm In LoVe WiTh HiM' or some shit like that." Drew looked really annoyed. "Did you not listen to me at the mall yesterday?!"
I was so shocked, that all I said was "Oh."
"We're done." I gasped when he said that. "And, don't go telling everyone you broke up with me. I'll know."
With that, Drew turned and walked into school. When Drew walked away completely, I saw that Jake had a flower in his hair. The flower from the bouqet that Drew gave him, which made me really wonder if my now ex was telling the truth. I didn't bother to ask, though. Jake looked very mad at me, and I wanted to make his life another living hell at home as well. Just for revenge.
I'm pretty skilled in the lie department. I can keep a lie going for about a year, until Jake decided to ruin it. I only had it going for three months. But, I bet I could get this lie working for a longer time. Just as long as nobody else can get in the way... I doubt anybody will. Jake's, like, the only person who hates me. (Well, aside from the freak club.)
All during second-last period, I wrote a summary of what I was going to do. When I finished that, I wrote it all out in steps. My ELA teacher would be proud, but also disgusted. I made sure I made no mistakes, because I'm going to be reading it later, and I can't read typos later.
Great news, there weren't any typos! I couldn't just keep this plan to myself, so I shared the file to Lia. She said she'd help me out if anyone says I was lying, so that's perfect! Nothing's going to ruin this plan at all. I have some pretty high hopes.

I was skipping last period and standing by my locker when the dismissal bell rang. I had my plan all written out in my google docs app on my phone. I read it over so I would remember as I walked home. I looked around for Jake, and I saw him running after Hailey. She looked mad, and he looked desperate. Thankfully, he was busy, so I could rush home and put my plan into motion.
I ran into my house when I reached the front door. It was always unlocked on weekdays, for when me and Jake come back from school.
