Kageyama was beyond worried for his girlfriend. She had been out a lot more lately and she wouldn't tell Kageyama where she was going, Kageyama just assumed that she had work regarding her degree, but soon that wasn't convincing enough anymore. Kageyama noticed that she had dark circles under her eyes, and was fully aware of the fact that she hadn't been sleeping well. She would sneak out into the living room when she thought that Kageyama was asleep, in hopes of not waking him up, but he knew. Kageyama tried to tell himself that she was just distressed because of her degree, but she wouldn't be that tired, right? And not to mention, she had been losing her appetite. Kageyama noticed her throwing up in the toilet after a meal when she thought he wasn't looking. This was strange. Kageyama knew she never wanted to be a burden to anyone but this was slowly crossing the line.

"Is something wrong?" He finally decided to confront her about it. "What?" She acted dumb, but there was a pit of despair hidden in her eyes. Kageyama sighed, "You know what I'm talking about. Look, I don't want to force you to talk about things you don't want to bring up, but just keep in mind that I'm here for you, okay?" Kana avoided his gaze, and Kageyama could swear that he saw her eyes get glassy. She shifted in her seat uncomfortably, unsure of what to say.

Kageyama sighed again, he reached out to take her hand and guided her towards his lap. Both of them sat in lingering silence and were getting restless. Kageyama pulled her into a tight hug, he felt her tense up a bit, but soon relaxed under the comforting touch of her boyfriend. Tears blurred her vision as she bit her lip to try and hold them in. Kageyama started stroking her back soothingly, hinting that she could let it out.

A strangled whimper left Kana, she wiped her eyes frantically as the tears started to spill out. Her shoulders were shaking violently as she tried to silent her sobs. Kageyama's eyes turned soft, and he furrowed his eyebrows. Sure, they'd known each other for so long, but he had never seen her cry like this before. He couldn't imagine. Just how much pain this girl had been in? How long had she been like this? When did this start? How much did she hide from Kageyama?

He looked down at the trembling figure of his girlfriend, he felt his heart clench as he heard the heart-wrenching sobs emitting from the girl. He pulled her closer to his chest and said in his best comforting voice, "Shh... it's okay... I'm here. You can tell me anything you know." She sniffled, "I can't... you'll hate me..." Kageyama felt his heart shatter into a million pieces, he mumbled, only loud enough for Kana to hear, "What makes you think I'll hate you? Nothing can make me hate you Kana, and I'm going to make sure of that."
