Toby is a 14 year old boy, he seems like he has the perfect life. Ya, he doesn't. His older brother Cody, who is 23, was always the favourite, Cody used to badly abuse him. Toby would always tell his parents but no one believed him. When both of their parents mysteriously dies Cody gets custody of Toby. A year later, a detective comes to their town looking for a challenge, when she finds something in the case everyone else overlooks, she is determined to find the killer. And the killer is determined to stop her.
