-1 month earlier-
'Jack, I don't know if I can do it' We were sitting in a bustling cafe, caught up in our whispered conversation.
'Course you can babes' Jack was my best friend every he knew everything about me all about my lives. Yes plural. He knew about the other half of my life, all about the gang. Jack was also extremely gay, which his parents had a hard time accepting. We both had problems with our parents, who just happen to be 4 of the most famous people in the world.
' If you say so' I said with a small smile on my face.
'Well I do so you'd better believe it' we sat in silence for a few minutes just listening to the cafe around us. Jack was good like that he knew when I just need quiet, away from the annoying guys and pushy parents.
Jack was in the same boat as me, we met 3 years agos at an award cermony he walked into me, his eyes were red from crying and his face was covered in tear streaks I asked if he was okay and we were friends from that day forward.
People always think that being the daughter of Kim Harper and Matt Redly and being famous is the best life you could possibly have. But they are unbelievably wrong, paparazzi everywhere, expectations you don't want and people who pretend to be your friend to get to your parents, just to name a few.
I suppose I didn't have it so bad I had found a way to be myself. The gang. In that half of my life it was hard but I had finally earned the respect I deserved after all being a girl it made it twice as hard.
In the other half of my life a was the little rich girl with famous parents, I had everythting I wanted apart from the thing I truly craved, love. Both my parets where away, alot which just proved I was a hinderence to them. They tried to make up for it but that just made it worse.
They think I am going through a rebelious stage I suppose I kinda am, coming home late (if at all) , partying, getting arrested that sort of thing.
'Ronnie you have to go, your parents said you have to be back for 4 its important'
'God, your right' I muttered checking my watch 3.45 I had 15 minutes to get back. I quickly finished my extra foam, vanilla, single shot coffee and started to leave when Jack stopped me.
'R you have a foam tash' he said laughing, I picked up a napkin and whiped my mouth.
'Thanks J your a life saver'
'Well you know. Go R, bye' I waved to him and put up my hood and big sunglasses on the last thing I needed was to be spotted otherwise I would never get home in time. I made my way to my car which was parked down the street.
Awwwwww my car. Another bribe frim my parents for me to calm down and my 18th birthday present 2 months ago. Of all of my bribes this was by far my favourite. A brand new Aston Martin DBS, black.
I jumped in a drove home , when I got to the drive I really opened her up leaving dust in my wake. As I pulled up in front of the house I noticed an Audi R8 parked up, well whoever my parents wanted me too meet they had good taste in cars.
I opened up the front door and heard voices drifing from the front room, itried to creep past up to my room but I guess my car had made to much noise.
'Veronica, darling could you come here please' now I was pissed, I hated it when she used my full name.
'Yes mother' I said with a bitter sweet smile on my face. As I walked in my father gave my choice of clothes a disapproving glare. I was wearing tiny black denim shorts, showing of my long tanned legs, and a tank top that said 'Don't like it, See if I give a sh*t' and my long golden wavy hair just falling around my waist.
'Darling this is Jacob Dante' She said pointing to a man of my age lounging in the chair looking a tthe floor. He was gorgeous, he had ruffled up brown hair and striking green eyes, he was wearing shorts that showing muscular tanned legs and a loose checked shirt.
'Hi, I'm Ronnie' Jake looked up at my a spark of curiosty in his eyes and chuckled when he heard my mother tut she hated my abbrievitated name.
'Hey' he said I a deep seductive voice looking me up and down.
'Veronica ths is the man you are going to marry, Jake's parents as do we think that it would best for both of you if you were to get married ' My mother said in a happy yet evil voice with a grin strechting across her face.
'What. I mean no offence dude but I don't know who the hell you are' I yelled at the top of my voice.
'I know. Look I don't wanna do this but its my only choice alright' totally not alright I had to get out of there.
'No way' I said as I ran out of the door and into the garden going to my favourite place.
I ran to my tree house, well I say tree house its more like a chill out room in a tree. It had two floors sofas, a TV, a fridge bascially everything. I walked straight to the window seat and just stared out across the Thames. I watched the boats going back and forth, people going about there business wishing I could just be normal.
i thought back over the events of the evening, I was being told to get MARRIED to someone who I didn't even know he was just a guy who was sitting in my house. I was just drifting off to sleep when a throat was cleared behind me.
I was about to tell which ever maid had been sent to get me to piss off but when I looked up I was caught short by the sight of Jake staring at me.
