The Move

Y/N's Point Of View

It was a surprisingly warm day in November, when my papa and I arrived in Encanto.  It had been about a month since my mama had died, and the place where we had lived before, reminded my papa too much of my mama, and he didn't want to be reminded of her. He took the death of my mama very hard. So he decided that we would move to Encanto. It was far enough away from the place we had lived before, so it was perfect, according to my papa.  I was a little angry with him, because, I liked where we lived before, and all my friends were there, I only had two but still! And my papa never wanted to talk about my mama.       I miss her so much, I'm only fifteen, and I'm already a half orphan! It's not easy for me, and so many times I want to talk about it with someone, but my dad is the only one I know, but he never wants to talk to me about anything anymore!   I really hope I will find someone whom I can talk to here, but it was really hard for me to make friends in my other town, but maybe this place will be different.

I could see up ahead the home of the Madrigal's, which I thing they call it.. Casita?  I'm not quite sure. I have heard about the Madrigal's and the miracle that they were blessed with in my other town, but I couldn't tell you who is who, their names, or what their gift is. I guess now I can find out for myself! 

''Um, papa?'' I hesitantly asked my papa.

''Yes?'' He said in a dull tone.

''May I go over to the Casita, and introduce myself to the Madrigals?''

 ''I suppose, just don't be too long, I will need your help with moving in!''  We had already found a place to move into earlier, and the only thing we needed to do now is get everything moved into the house.

''Okay, thank you!'' I said, walking to the Casita.

I arrived at Casita, and I was about to knock, when the door opened, reveling a tall woman, looking to be in her early 20's wearing a high bun, and a red dress. 

''Hola!''  The lady greeted me.

''Hi, my papa and I just moved in a couple of houses down, and I thought I'd introduce myself!'' I stated,  ''are you one of the Madrigals?''  

''Oh, well welcome to Encanto! Yes I am, I am Dolores Madrigal!'' She told me gesturing me to come in, ''Won't you come in and meet the rest of my family?''

''Sure, thank you! My name is Y/N!''

''Well isn't that a pretty name!'' 

''Aw, thank you!'' I said putting my hand on my heart.

''Dolores, who is this?'' An elderly woman asked Dolores.

''Oh, hola Abuela! This is Y/N, Her and her papa just moved in a couple of houses down!''  Dolores told her Abuela, ''Y/N, this is my Abuela!''

I shook her hand.    ''Welcome to Encanto Y/N, my name is Alma!'' She greeted.

''Thank you Señora!''  

''Hola! You must be new, I don't recognize you, my name is Mirabel!''   A girl looking to be around my age wearing round green glasses, and a beautiful embroidered blue dress came up to me and introduced herself.

''Hi, my name is Y/N. My papa and I just moved in a couple of houses down!'' 

''Oh, well let me introduce you to the rest of my family!'' She said, before I could say anything, she grabbed my wrist, and pulled me into the kitchen.

''Mama! This is Y/N, She just moved into Encanto with her papa today!'' She told her Mama.

''Well hello Y/N! It's nice to have you here, My name is Julieta!'' She said in a motherly tone, she reminded me so much of my mama, I tried really hard to keep in my tears, but a couple fell out.
