"Hey beomgyuuu!!!"
A short haired girl jumped as she ran to hug her bestfriend, childhood bestfriend just seconds later she exited the classroom

"Missed me a lot I see...Tbh me too.Its been what? 5 years huh"
Beomgyu chuckled as he embraced Ryu-yi,before ruffling her hair.

"Hey Dumbo...not my hair"
Ryu-yi pulled out,hitting beomgyu lightly on his chest as beomgyu effortlessly held her both hands single handedly and continued laughing not even sparing a glance to the silent figure observing this chaotic reunion.

Beomgyu stopped chuckling as he noticed a brunette haired boy hovering over them, awkwardly playing with the ends of his bag straps.As soon as his eyes met beomgyu's the brunette immediately looked away.Epitome of awkwardness indeed.

Ryu-yi noticed the silence as she turned towards the other male.Her eyes lit up in excitement,contrast to the two males beside her.

"So beomgyu this is my friend tae..Kang taehyun...I told you right...the taehyun I met few years back in art class after you left this school"
Beomgyu was still busy teasing ryu-yi as he kept pulling ryu-yi's bag strap and taunting her that he didn't quite acknowledge taehyun's presence and only responded with a hum and a second long glance.

Was what first thought that crossed taehyun's mind.Taehyun could see that beomgyu was very close to Ryu-yi and ofcourse wasn't jealous or mad.He knew they were childhood friends but somewhere within himself he felt a feeling of insecurity creeping in.Like he was going to be an odd one out in their trio soon.

Well thankfully that didn't happen as few months had passed but he still continued to hang out with them.But the catch was he started noticing how unwanted he was, specially to beomgyu.

How beomgyu used to always sit between both them in classes.

How beomgyu always looked at taehyun in a certain manner whenever he was closer with ryu-yi which almost resembled jealousy.

How beomgyu always just seemed to have this tensed expression whenever taehyun joined them in general.

This took him to a conclusion.Beomgyu liked ryu-yi and that is why he hated taehyun.He didn't like taehyun being closer to ryu-yi.He remembered an incident in particular.

"Ryu-yi we gotta go to this cafe today!!I want to speak about so much things to you-

"Y'all are heading somewhere after class?"
A prominent tensed expression returned on beomgyu's face as his shoulders stiffened when taehyun joined.

"Yes actually-

"No..nope We- I actually have my music lessons and ryu-yi is going to come along.. Maybe tommorow we could plan something"
Beomgyu badly stammered showing how clearly he was lying.

"Ohh ohk then I will walk home alone ig"
Taehyun shrugged as he glanced towards Ryu-yi who just pursed her lips and looked at him with a pleading expression which clearly meant 'Sorry',before walking away.

"That was soo mean gyu...He looked so sad..He surely caught your lie"
Ryu-yi slapped the latter's arm with a frown on her face.

"I know but how could I discuss the ways to ask him out in front of HIM...please I can't risk anything for my confession"
Beomgyu sighed as he joined his hands, rubbing them together.As the duo made their way to the cafe.

I don't know if taehyun is blind to not see how his smallest antics make beomgyu more and more smitten or Beomgyu is just dumb in pursuing him and giving hints...And here I am actually serving as a cupid while tae thinks beomgyu likes me for some god damn reason.
Ryu-yi thought to herself internally sighing on how she is stuck between these to two hopeless romantics.
