A few days had passed since Luffy met the coffee shop barista by the name of Law- and as much as Luffy was in denial over catching feelings, soon he came to accept that he thought the boy was pretty and wanted to get to know him. He planned to become a regular at that coffee shop just to talk to Law, and explore his feelings for the teenager a bit.

It was a tiny crush for sure, but maybe there was a seed of potential in those feelings. So Luffy went over to the coffee shop the following morning, after assessing his emotions the night before. Luffy seldom catches feelings for anyone, so this was a new revelation- if it even counted as catching feelings. Luffy didn't know, and that's what he was there to find out.

Luffy stepped into the coffee shop, the little bell ringing as the door opened. He came a little late today, around lunchtime, so he caught Law at a time in the day when it wasn't too busy and he was on break. The boy sat at the counter, in his work uniform minus the apron, wearing a white hat covering half his face.

He appeared to be on his phone while also eating a sandwich. "Heyyy," Luffy sang as he took a seat at the opposite end of the counter. Law's head quickly turned- he hadn't seen Luffy enter.

"Oh, hey," he said awkwardly, "sorry- I'm on break can get someone else to-" "remember me from the other day?" Luffy inquired. Law glanced up at him and thought for a moment, before flashing a face of realization. "Oh-it's you-" he said, shying away behind his hat. Luffy sat closer to the boy. "So hi, nice to properly meetcha,"

He said, "my name's Monkey D Luffy." Luffy extended a hand which Law hesitantly shook. He took a moment to study Law, taking in all of the boy's features now that they were sitting near each other. Law noticed him staring and in turn pretended to be busy on his phone.

Luffy examined Law, secretly admiring his delicate features, dark hair, and a seemingly pretty face half-covered by the white hat he was wearing. Luffy couldn't see the boy's eyes which was disappointing for him. He wanted to rip that emo hat right off Law's head.

Once he was done practically checking Law out, a conversation started up, and the two talked a bit and got to know each other a little better. Law warmed up to Luffy slightly, and had to admit, after listening to the black haired boy's exaggerated stories and experiencing his loud personality, he was slightly intrigued, Luffy talked a lot about his "pirate dreams,"

While Law mostly listened to him talk, occasionally adding something about himself as well. "And my pirate crew is called the straw hats! we dominate and control those oceans Trafalgar, you don't even understand," Luffy stated as he leaned back in his seat, sipping at the tea Law had gotten the both of them.

"Really now?" Law said, cracking a smile. he couldn't tell if the boy was joking or not anymore, but he was interesting for sure.

"We have 10,000 members," Luffy continued, "Surly if your organization is that big it would be well known," Law said, taking a sip of tea.

"Stilly Toaro, it's called a secret organization for a reason."

"Toaro-?" Law almost spit out his tea. "Why not?" Luffy beamed, "anyways, this pirate caption of the sea-" He paused and pointed to himself, "Is actually a pacifist. I don't kill any of my prisoners, you know, it's against the straw hats policy."

"Well it's good you don't kill anyone-"

"We also engage in peaceful activities! we have tea parties Toaro," Luffy said, "Kinda like what we're having now. this is a lot like a tea party isn't it?"
Law thought about it for a moment.

"Yeah actually, I suppose you're right." The two talked for about an hour in total until Law's break was up, and ended up exchanging phone numbers. Luffy was ecstatic, and Law caught himself being abnormally happy over this simple encounter. He tried to push his thoughts away, for the time being, wanting to reflect on all of it later on.
