Sippy Mansion, Living room
Rohit, "What is wrong with you Mom? How can you fix my marriage with any girl without even consulting me?" Veena, "It's not any girl from the wilderness Rohit! Lalwani's daughter is a really wonderful girl. I'm sure you too will like her once you meet her." Rohit raising his voice, "But I have already told you several times Mom that I do not want to get married, I do not want to get married! Why don't you get it once and for all?" Naren cuts in, "Rohit is that how you speak to your mother? And what is wrong with what she is saying? You are around 30 years old which is old enough, well reputed and settled doctor. So what is wrong if your mother wants you to get married now?" Rohit replies in anger, "Dad! I have already told Mom what I wanted to say that I don't want to get married now. Rest it is upon both of you on how you want to go forward but remember that you cannot get me married against my wishes!" on saying that Rohit angrily leaves from the living room.
Once Rohit is out of the vicinity, Veena, "Naren what shall we do now? I really want Lalwani's girl Tanya to be my daughter-in-law and have also given my word to Mr. Lalwani that one of my sons will marry his daughter. But you can see Rohit is not ready to get married!" Naren gets an idea after listening to her and says, "We still have time to handle things Veena." Veena unable to understand asks, "How?" Naren, "You told Mr. Lalwani that one of your sons will marry his daughter, but you never mentioned that it would be Rohit. So why don't we ask his daughter's hand for Rohan instead of Rohit?" Veena is thunderstruck and asks, "What are you saying Naren?" Naren, "Well our first son, Rohit, is not ready to get married so what is wrong if we get our second son married after all Rohan is just two years younger than Rohit and is also a well settled builder. I wouldn't have told the same if it was the case of Ajit." Veena, "But what will the people say when we get our younger son married before the elder one? And how can we get Rohit married after getting his younger brother married?" Naren, "Veena, leave about the people! We are the Sippys, we don't care about what the people say and regarding Rohit's marriage, Veena your beloved son is one of the most good-looking, well settled bachelors in the city. I don't think there will be any issue in getting Rohit married even after his younger brother marries." Veena, "Are you sure Naren?" Naren, "Yes I'm sure about it. Just talk to Rohan about the same." Veena nods in agreement. Naren leaves.
Scene shifts to the boys' bedroom
A while later, Veena following Naren's advice calls out Rohan in their room and presents to him the marriage proposal of Tanya. Rohan sceptical at first had the same thoughts as Veena on how can he get married before his elder brother. However, Veena tells him that it wouldn't be a problem as Rohit isn't ready to get married. Rohan thinks for a while and sets a condition to his mother that first he needs to meet the girl and talk with her, only then he can decide on whether he will get married or not. Veena agrees and thinks to call Mr. Lalwani and fix a date such that Rohan and Tanya can meet.
Scene shifts to Lalwani House
Tanya is still under a trance after listening to what her father just said and asks, "Dad, what are you saying?" Mr. Rajesh Lalwani catches Tanya's hand and explains, "Tanya, Mrs. Veena Sippy met you during your jewellery exhibition last week and she was quite impressed with your talent, confidence and down-to-earth nature, so she wants you to be one of her daughter-in-laws!" Tanya, "Dad but what is the need for my marriage so soon? I have just started my career." Mr. Lalwani, "Tanya my dear, the Sippys are a good family and Mrs. Veena Sippy has promised me that you can continue your career even after your marriage, so what is wrong in thinking about the proposal?" Tanya is about to say something but before that Mr. Lalwani's phone rings, He picks up the call and it was Mr.Veena Sippy on the other side, Tanya cautiously listens to him. Veena asks, "Mr. Lalwani, Rohan would like to meet Tanya once before we take things forward" Mr. Lalwani was surprised, "Rohan? I thought you had brought the proposal of your elder son Rohit." Veena, "I had indeed brought the proposal of my elder son Rohit but right now he is not ready to get married, so me and my husband, we discussed and decided to take the proposal of our second son, Rohan for your daughter Tanya, isn't that alright for you?" Mr. Lalwani, "Rohit or Rohan, a proposal from your family is a blessing in disguise for me and my daughter." He then looks at Tanya while still talking on phone and says, "Tanya is free tomorrow" Tanya sways her hand in surprise. Mr. Lalwani continues, "Rohan can come anytime tomorrow to meet her!" Tanya softly exclaims, "Dad!" While Veena delightfully on the other side, "Thank you Mr. Lalwani, Rohan and our whole family, we will come to meet Tanya tomorrow morning." Mr. Lalwani cheerfully agrees and hangs up the phone greeting Veena. Once he hangs up the phone, he finds Tanya with her hands around her hips looking sternly at him. He nervously asks, "What is it?" Tanya, "Dad how can you call them so soon?" Mr. Lalwani, "Tanya I already told you they are a good family and what is wrong in meeting the boy if they are alright with you continuing your career even after your marriage?" Tanya, "But I need to...." Mr. Lalwani cuts in, "I know you need time to think before you decide right? Look Tanya, the boy is coming tomorrow along with his family. At that time, try to break the ice with him and after that I wouldn't stop you from meeting him and learning more about him. In the end, only if you feel that you can go forward with the relation, I will take the things forward with the Sippys, alright?" Tanya gives a gentle nod in agreement. Mr. Lalwani smiles, kisses Tanya's forehead, gently pats on her cheek and leaves. Once Mr. Lalwani leaves, Tanya gets thinking, "Rohan Sippy?"
Scene shifts to next day morning
Few cars arrive in the front lawn of the Lalwani House. From the cars, come out the entire joint family of the Sippys. Mr. Lalwani comes out of the house, greets them and welcomes them into the house. The whole Sippy family enters into the house. Before Rohan could enter, Ajit pulls him back at the doorstep and asks him, "So Rohan Bhai you have so many women walking in and out of your life all the time. Are you going to finally settle down getting married before Rohit bhai huh?" Rohan, "Shut up AJ, first let me meet the girl, then I will decide whether to settle down or not!" Ajit expresses an alright on his face with his lips and signs Rohan to go in. They both go in. Once all the family members have a seat and make themselves comfortable. Veena asks Mr. Lalwani to call Tanya. Mr. Lalwani nods and calls out Tanya. In a moment, all the heads of the Sippy family turn towards the sound of the slow footsteps coming towards them and gradually Tanya comes to their vision. Ajit felt a chill run down his spine seeing Tanya.
