*Alyssa's POV*
I woke up in the morning and noticed that the side of the bed that usually had TJ in was empty. I looked over at my phone but had no texts to tell me whether or not he had to go to training, to say I was confused was an understatement. I did however get a text from Patrick asking if we could meet up half way so I could drop Theo off to him. That's the problem with living about 4 hours away from him, if Theo wanted to stay with his dad for a while, we would have to make a day of it. And then that became a problem if TJ was having Lyla. We knew that coming into this relationship there would be difficulties, he accepted that Patrick was Theo's dad and that Patrick and I were still civil and I accepted that he tried to speak to Lauren. I walked downstairs to see that TJ was sat at the dining table with Theo and Lyla eating. Theo liked the idea of having TJ around seeing as he hasn't known any different. TJ had always been close with me even when he was with Lauren. He officially came into Theo's life when Theo was about 3, that's when we moved in together anyway. I walked past TJ, tapped his shoulder and when he looked at me, I took a slice of toast from his plate and ate it. He laughed slightly and I sat down next to Theo.
"Have you boys got anything planned for today?" I asked them. They always made plans to go skating or to go out to the mall and never told me until they were going.
"We were thinking of practicing his blocking skills. I spoke with Patrick a few days ago and we agreed that I could help out." TJ informed. "Why's that?"
"Pat was wondering if we could meet up so that he could have Theo for the next few weeks. I thought that it would be a good idea seeing that it was Lyla's 2nd birthday soon and you probably wanted to sort things out, plus I'm going to be busy in work so yeah." I clarified.
"Sure, maybe Theo and I could get ready now and have a quick season and we can leave from the rink." I nodded and we decided to all get changed. I put on a cream baggy sweater and some black skinny jeans, my blonde hair was put in a messy bun and my make up was minimal seeing as I was wearing my glasses. I never usually wore too much make up if I was wearing my glasses, I had just ran out of contacts. I walked into Theo's room and saw him in jeans and a sweater, Lyla also had on her sweater and some leggings. TJ just had on a hoodie and jeans. I smiled at the three of them before going to pick up Theo's kit bag. He wanted to be a goalie, I have no idea why considering that both Patrick and TJ were forwards, but whatever made him happy I guess.
"I've got the bag!" TJ announced as he placed Lyla on his hip and then bent down to get the bag.
"You have Lyla, just let me carry it." Theo was just running around because he was happy to get on the ice, plus he loved going to stay with Patrick.
"I've got it Lyss, it's fine. You can just push Lyla when we get to the rink." I nodded and we got in his car before driving off to the rink. I remember to text Patrick to tell him our plans and we agreed on a time as we pulled up at the rink. When we got there, TJ put Lyla in her pushchair and left her with me as he went to set everything up whilst Theo got kitted up. I pushed Lyla's pushchair over to the stands and sat down before taking a picture of her and sending it to Lauren. Lauren and I were on good terms, it think it's because we are practically in the same position. Her and TJ didn't really end well, they attempt to keep it civil but they do snap at each other every once in a while. Once the boys were finished, we made our way over to the car.
"TJ, when do you play Chicago next?" I asked him after we put the two children in the car.
"2 weeks. Is that when you'll pick Theo up?" I nodded and he smiled at me before placing a kiss on my lips. "Y'know, we both have children, but not together." He hinted making me laugh.
"And I intend to keep it that way for a while." I replied making him sigh.
"It was worth a shot." I nodded and he kissed me again before we got in the car and drove down to meet up with Patrick.
